Line speed

Unread post by tottie » Sun 17 May, 2015 5:17 pm

Until this team gets off the line and puts pressure on teams we will get rolled for 60 - 80m per set and spend the yr teaching our halves how to get out of our 20. Its ridiculous that we let physical teams that run hard gain max momentum and bend us for quick play the balls and we do it week in week out.

Exactly right. Teams have been rolling through us and our line speed in defence is non-existent. Our forwards have been poor and this is a full strength team. Not pretty.

It's even worse on the last tackle. How many times do we see Brooks and Moses get sat down after each kick, and yet we give the other halves 10m to put up a pinpoint kick then wonder why we can't defend it.

Problem comes from having little in attack.

opposition teams don't have much work to do defending us so are too fresh.

I mean are we trying to win the wrestle?
