AHX,I think Taylor is packing the dynamite in the correct formation for a wide spread mass destruction of the opposition...just can't wait for him to light the fuse......

Moses put on a few wide passes and that audacious chip... can you honestly say we didn't have a crack at times?

I understand the frustration with watching controlled, grinding footy, but do we really want to go back to being a team that chanced their hands 2-3 times per set? Because teams like Melbourne and Roosters do not do this, and it appears very difficult to coach it out of the Tigers.

I can even recall Potter saying the same thing last year, how he wanted the team to earn the right to throw it around, not just do it as default.
A have no problem with the team playing a controlled, and grinding game, as long as their's some variation as well. At the moment it's all so predictable and really, really boring. :| and the losses will keep coming because of it.

Unfortunately I don't think JT is working to make us play better. At the moment I think he is trying to change the Wests Tigers culture first and foremost.

That is why he is focusing so much on our defence and totally neglecting our attack, which means we will continue to play a one dimensional attacking game until he thinks it's time to place some importance on our attacking structures.

I think he will continue to hammer this culture change into the young players (with only 2-3 players still influenced by our previous regime and their flamboyance first culture) until he is happy with that and our defence first mind-set. Then I am assuming he will move into the attacking side of things.

I don't agree with it at all because I think it's hindering our inexperienced players development but that is the way he seems to be going and judging by his post match comments I don't think he is worried if it takes all season.

It could be another long and dour year for us Tiger supporters.

If there are any footy Gods, surely they're plotting something special for us long suffering Tigers fans very very very soon.

Sorry AHX I had no idea this was a forum where only facts are allowed.

Disregard my opinion.

Do you know, it's interesting to read the paper today with comments from Paul Green that apparently he instructed his team to do essentially nothing in attack, and defend their way to victory. He was happy at half-time, he thought the Cowboys could defend even a 2-point lead.

Both teams had near-enough entire front row missing = normal platform absent.

Then we had the Raiders-Bulldogs game which was a shambles, very entertaining if you weren't invested in the result, but both teams defended like NYC clubs. Any well-drilled side would have destroyed either team.

Origin weekend is not the weekend of pretty or high-quality football, unfortunately.

- Kev drops the ball over the line
- Tedesco drops the ball and they score
- In-field kick by Richards, bad bounce to Brooks and misses the touch on/bounce to score
- Lawrence taking the ball himself when Hoeter was unmarked outside (50/50 chance)

We converted 0 from 3 chances and they converted 1 from 1.

This is where the game was lost.

Otherwise, we would have ground out an 8-18 points to 2 victory.

Teams don't turn around overnight. Penrith had a shocking year when Cleary took over, but things got better. I'm confident we'll get better too. At George have no attack, but their defence has them up the ladder. They also have a more experienced side. We'll get there with time.

Whats the bet that if this sort of game persists that some of our young contracted players
suddenly find 'PERSONAL' reasons to have to leave the club .
Its nieve to thing that a few players Managers wouldnt be talking to other clubs and testing the water.
If you were Managing for example Taupau, Brooks, Moses Even Woods, would you want them to stay where the type of game played was dropping their worth on the open market.
Taupau hasnt reproduced the form in or before the tests since he came back , the halves are on a spiral down ,and may start to look at greener pastures with a stronger club where they can develop at a normal rate
Contracts mean nothing to players
I hope the risks are worth it
