Tapau was a beast tonight. Teddy also had his best game for a while, and I also think Lodge had a great game.

Bloody tough to share 6 points tonight after such a good team performance...

3 Taupau - his dominant display in the opening 20min set the platform for our win.
2 Ava - probably his greatest NRL performance and without taking anything away from the starting 13, our bench was why we won tonight.
1 Moses - got bashed tonight and kept coming back for more punishment to allow Teddy & Brooks to get the result.

As mentioned in my comments on Ava, he and Lodge need to do what they did tonight next week, the week after, and every week after that. If our bench does there job, we will win a lot more games!

Best game I've seen from Taupau in any team, stuffed up my opinion that he could only be effective from the bench. Provided the aggression that has been missing over the last month, if he can back that up in the rest of our games, when we get Woods and Farah back , we might be able to give the better teams some problems

Moses showed a very controlled game.


Moses doesn't get same wraps as brooks.

There have been a few recent posts asking about our halves, "how long do we have to wait"? Tonight, I think Moses stepped up as an organiser. Of course, it's much easier with our forwards rolling upfield.

Ava was relentless, Taupau a beast and Lawrence showing signs of becoming a career second-rower. Personally, I wouldn't swap Tedesco for any other fullback in the comp.

Dave looks like he will have little problem converting to centre in attack, but his defence needs work.

Thought Lovett stepped up tonight. 16 runs for 130 metres, 30 tackles. That's better than our props were doing last year.

3 Teddy he set the game flow for us and was outstanding at the back

2 Marty he needs to play consistent, last night unstoppable wish he would have support runners

1 Ava he stood up the last 2 weeks and played big minutes last night, again wish he has support runners as he bends the line and gets the arms free.


Outside of the above Lovett and Lodge were great as was Nofo. It was a true team performance

The spine clicked as well, Mania didn't over okay and just fed the ball quickly and in front of the halves all game, Brooks and Moses just controlled the tempo as the forwards let them.

Lodge is also great with turning his back and getting the arms free. Would love to see more of Teddy and
Moses hanging off him.

3 - Ava - Kept moving forward and got the team on a roll constantly
2 - Lawrence - Always solid defensively, but worked hard all round in a position he has only run for in the last few weeks against a HUGE pack.
1 - Marty T - strong runs all game on the fringes. This is what he needs to do every week.

Moses, Brooks worked reasonably well when the forwards laid it out for the them. I don't think anyone played poorly and it was good to see a few guys have a dig that up until now I thought were stalling.
