Lovett is more solid. Santi hits harder and bends the line more.

We are much better when Santi defends in the middle once the starters come off.

He is very effective at closing the space, chasing from marker and is strong in the tackle.

He is also an effective ball carrier, if not sensational.

He performs his role well, his role is not eye catching but important.

Don't rate him at all. Almost every hit up is a surrender.

Liam Fulton is a club legend. When he first started, he was an enthusiastic and competent defender but lacked impact with his hit-ups and barely passed the ball.

Sound familiar?

Have no idea why JT had Santi on the bench over Halatau today

His type of player are dying in today's game and for good reason. Unless you're an excellent tackler and anchor in the middle you better have some attacking ability. He has neither. His motor and impact defensively is not good enough to make up for his deficiencies.

Im not sure if others have noticed this or if it's just me.
But he tends to like getting a hand in the tackle once it's already complete, maybe to add to his stats or something I'm not sure.

Doing this means he leaves a huge gap in the defensive line for the next play. Has anybody else noticed the same?
