What is the difference??

Gavin Badger refereeing the same games, similar scenarios and he is in the same position yet gives different rulings.

Here is Teddy's try at 0:17 of the clip.

Here is a similar try that Chris Lawrence scored. The try starts at 14:55 on the game clock

The difference? There was no opposing player's boot in the frame of Lawrence's try, so he couldn't rule that it was knocked forward into anything during the grounding.

But he was on the opposite side to where the opposing player was. How could he see which direction the ball went other than Tedesco's wrist?

Hmmm no blocking penalties on Takarangi???? Seems we are the only team that does it.
