worst performance of the year

Unread post by king sirro » Fri 24 Jul, 2015 9:37 pm

Forget the halftime scoreline, we were down right pathetic tonight. We did more wrong tonight than we have in any other game this year. Dropped ball, wrong defensive decisions, worst passing I've ever seen, ill discipline, we had it all tonight.

Usually i finish game and go through the players and only come up with a couple that sucked, a few that were ok and some that were good or better. Tonight if u go through every player it isn't pretty.

Teddy was outstanding.
Nofo and Naqaima had some really good moment mixed with some shocking moments.
Simona was good.
Pat was close to the worst individual performance for the year.
Moses had his worst game ever and Brooks was poor.

Taupau sucked and should have been sent off for a deliberate dog shot.
Lovett...well my god, what do u say.
Siro was ok.
Woods was ok.
Halatau not real good.
Sue tried but got owned.

Our bench had nothing.

Tonight was real bad.

Nah, we were worse against the Cowboys, that was the worst game I have seen this year easily. Our first half was solid, poor execution once again, but we had a real dig in defence and never let the Roosters settle.

We ran out of gas in the end, too many silly penalties and the weight of possession wore us out. We played dumb in the final 20 as we had nothing left to give.

Mate I really don't think it was the worst performance by a long shot. The Roosters only scored half the amount I was expecting them to rack up! Considering our opposition, I thought the boys played really well defensively, but just made too many silly mistakes in attack, at crucial times - pushing passes that are just not on, dropping balls, kicks out on the full and unnecessary cheap shots only puts more pressure on a team that is already well behind the eight ball talent-wise.

We had every chance of winning that game, but for those brain explosions and yet another lop-sided penalty count. What possession we did get, we did not respect.

Roosters were shocking in the first half...shocking.

Reason I see it as our worst performance is because I feel we were bad in every aspect. Other games have been really poor but we were good in some aspects in those games. This game we failed at everything and that's what I mean when I say it's our worst performance if that makes sense. How can we bad at EVERYTHING

I don't think we were that bad.

Richards is a massive liability and is worth at least 12 points per game over the course of the season to the opposition.
Moses and Brooks were beyond ordinary.
Nofo and Naiqama were good but they have mistakes in them.

I thought Sirro was really good but overall our forwards were pretty ordinary.

Roosters never got out of 2nd gear .

The Roosters maybe felt sorry for JT and didn't want to inflict a massive scoreline on there ex assistant Coach.

Have to disagree mate. Naiqama is ordinary. Wasn't a first grader at any other club and only is here because of the lack of competition.
I don't know what you expect from Brooks and Moses when we had so little ball?

You're definitely right about the forwards. Any team that allows the opposition to roll 70 metres up the field from a kick off with the score at 4-14 deserves to be flogged by 50.

Far from the worst performance of the year. Our defence for the majority of the game was very good, attack solid but not spectacular. We ran with the Roosters for 60ish mins, hardly terrible.

Let's not forget they are a team of rep players - dumb, simple errors were our let down and that happens with a team of kids, plain and simple.

That's exactly what it was.

The defence as a team was promising - read most plays well, adjusted to backline plays, held them out for a large number of sets on the line. The tries were mostly 1-1 bad misses - Moses on Tupou, Richards nutmeg, Cherrington and a bit of Woods on Moa, Lovett on Cordner to let Maloney in, Lovett dropped pass.

What I couldn't cop was the pure stupidity at times. Real numbskull play, top shelf idiocy. Taupau for one, useless swinging arm on Maloney, didn't even collect him properly for a cheap shot. Not his first of the year either. Naiqama forces the pass to Nofo with 1 m of sideline, tackle 2. Moses pure hospital pass to Brooks first half 2nd tackle.

Roosters weren't great, we defended ok, but we seemed committed to giving them continual chances.

The reality is we lost Lawrence from near the start, Ava was out as was Farah. It was always going to be a big ask but I have to say I continue to be impressed with Cherrington, Moses, Brooks and I know this won't be popular, Lovett. Sironen looks likely to realise his talent.
