Wests Tigers forward Aaron Woods will play his 100th NRL game this weekend at Leichhardt Oval when they Club takes on the Melbourne Storm on Friday, July 31.

Woods will become just the 18th player to reach the milestone for Wests Tigers, but says he isn't going to be taking Friday's game differently to any others in his career.

"It's something special," Woods reflected earlier in the week.

"I grew up loving rugby league and just to play one game, I couldn't have been any prouder [of that]. So now to play 100 for the Club I love is a proud moment for myself.

"I just love playing footy. I don't really count how many games I've played. If I only played one game I'd be happy, but you always want to play more.

"Any time I get to put on the Wests Tigers jersey for myself is a dream to come."

The NSW and Australian international — who captained the Club in recent weeks with Robbie Farah missing due to shoulder and then elbow injuries — said that while Friday night's match against the Storm is a nice milestone for him, his full focus is on bouncing back with a win and ending a current run of five straight defeats for Wests Tigers.

"I think their forwards have been going really good," Woods said.

"It's going to be a tough ask for us — we're going to have to stop them up front because they're the guys who lay the platform — so it'll be a big job come Friday night."

Couldn't we keep this a secret - every time we celebrate x amount of games, someone retiring etc. we get beat.
Maybe if no one knows these things ....

Congrats on cracking a Woody ;) .
To an absolute Legend , Congrats and hope for a couple 100 more games with us .
It depends who you talk to on this Forum, if you are Optimistic? it's because your delusional and need a reality check. If you are Pessimistic? Your accused of being a negative Nancy and to go and follow another Club.
