The two home games that will be played outside of Sydney are aimed at growing both the club's and game's supporter base through some initiatives.
Must be secret initiatives

Fiji. You'd pack them in and get a leg up on the next great winger.

Is there any long term benefits of taking games on the road. Did we achieve anything by taking games to nz all those years ago? Except for a few bucks.

Why would there be a fight? I'm more intrigued as to where the out of Sydney games are planned for. I wonder if Gosford counts...
Because fans want games at Leichhardt and Campbelltown
I thought they were implying a Leichhardt v Campbelltown fight. The attendances at both were hardly brilliant. If it means more cash to the club I'll cop this set up.
The LO v CS fight will happen when the games are allocated .

yep - somewhere in the Pacific or even Hong Kong or China would truly qualify as an 'exciting' initiative. Asia is a pipedream but as I'm based there I'll dream on.

I was in Fiji a year ago , all the locals I spoke to followed a NRL team. Every arvo we played touch footy with the locals. Good times , they are footy mad. Mostly Union but League as well. The NRL was constantly playing in the bars I went to. Even more so than Sydney bars and pubs.

However my bet would be WA.

I don't like it, i wish we would just settle on one ground and not 3 and now onto 5, this is surely a money incentive from the NRL (sorry for my scepticism and cynicism).
Yeah, Pascoe was going to get us playing out of one home ground when he turned up. That, and fix the taylor-farah feud, which he let fester for 12 months.
He's not big on delivering promises.

Pascoe as the CEO is employed to guide and carry out the direction giving to him by the Board.

Well in that case he's just a figurehead and he shouldn't make statements about things he has no control over.

I have been told that perspective Corprate types that would delivery future sponsorship dollars want nothing to do with both suburban grounds..I am a bit confused as to where the club is headed with this signing up long term at both grounds seems odd or money is no object moving forward .

Gosford would be hardly and "exciting" Initiative you'd think.
That depends on where you live.
It maybe handy if you live in the area and are a WT fan (or the team they are going to play against, but Underdog is correct it wouldn't be the greatest initiative in terms of growing the game and supporters.

I think they are still trying to please everyone. But that gets you nowhere.
Maybe they are looking at multi year suburban ground deals taking us up to when homebush is refurbished then a full time move there.

They either don't have a plan or arnt sharing it with us for some reason.

This looks like a tactic to me, a tactic to reduce the amount of games played at Leichhardt and Campbelltown.

We appear to have smart shrewd business people in charge of our club now, (which is a massive change to what we are used to,) and I think they thought there would be fan backlash at reducing games in the suburbs to increase games at Homebush. So as a calculated stepping stone, they reduce the games in the suburbs, and take a couple of games out bush somewhere (and get some extra cash from the NRL which is not a bad thing). Then next year we get 3 (or 2) games at LO/ Campbo and us fans won't kick up as big a stink.

But they don't need to be that shrewd. Us WT fans are a loyal fickle bunch, but if you are straight with us, we will respect that. Just tell us, "We think to increase the strength of the brand we need to be based from one stadium, and that one stadium is ANZ. There will only be 3 (or 2 or 1 or whatever) games at LO/Campbo each year", and that's that.
A one eyed supporter, mostly :crazy, always :sign:

I wish for once he'd cut the crap and just say it as it is...we arent mugs Justin
How do you mean?

I've actually found him to be a fairly straight-shooter, esp on those Q&A videos which the club doesn't have to do, he doesn't have to answer member questions on tape or send us CEO updates.

If you mean not being specific about things like "initiatives", surely that's just management speak for "we havent' decided yet" and all the CEOs do that?
