If you use that as an argument, then where has people embraced anything new if it is consistently badly run and more often mostly among the also runs( or worse) of its competition.
We arent like the warriors in being a one team country. Of even like The Storm, who, although having to battle the AFL bias in Vic. Have had the money from News, as well as illegal help with buying and keeping players that other clubs could only dream of.
And the Warriors also have trouble with crowds when they're not winning. And it's the only game in the entire country.
We Have Competition.
Maybe if Cleary can help to pull us out of the dregs, we might be a more attractive proposition to support. I think a lot here lose the point that most of us are rusted on, and have been for a long while,
Normal people aren't, Therefore they couldn't less about a team who can't beat time with a stick most of the time, especially when they hardly see them in the community.
If the Club wants support from the Cambelltown area, they have to start earning it both on amd off the field
I'd be happy to be totally based at campbo but the stadium isn't good enough. It's a better experience at home.
So if Souff's took an NRL game not just a trial to Cambo all of a sudden they will have a strangle hold on the South West...Yeah nah..can't see that myself...

Those are your words. He said no club has taken a game there. He's wrong.

I'll bet Alien was there.
Don't try to tell me awesome power can corrupt a person, you haven't enough to know what it's like; you're only angry because you wish you were in my position, you nod your head because you know that I'm right.

I was talking about NRL games, not trials. But you're not interested in a discussion, your out for an argument.
My point stands. Despite all the chicken little calls no club has brought an NRL club game to Campbo.
There's no point to it.
I'm not trying to argue, i just have a different point of view.gallagher wrote: ↑Tue 10 Oct, 2017 2:24 pmI was talking about NRL games, not trials. But you're not interested in a discussion, your out for an argument.

You can argue semantics by saying no regular season game has been taken there, and at the same time i can point out that trials are competitive games, sanctioned by the NRL. No club has ever taken games to Penrith or the Gong in other areas that encroach on another clubs junior area.
Might need to check your facts there Gunners - We've taken / played (at least one) Trial game down Wollongong way....GNR4LIFE wrote: ↑Tue 10 Oct, 2017 3:15 pmI'm not trying to argue, i just have a different point of view.gallagher wrote: ↑Tue 10 Oct, 2017 2:24 pmI was talking about NRL games, not trials. I'm not surprised WT have stopped returning the calls from these muppets. They've been running with their own biased agenda for years. What can you do with a brick wall?
Well it's not the same, how long have Wests been playing out of CSS in some incarnation? Since 1987. They relocated from a torally different area of Sydney. Newtown played games out of CSS before Wests did, and if they hadn't folded, might still be there.
Balmain played out of LO since 1934, nobody else has held the ground and Balmain didn't relocate to LO.

Yes, in 1934 - that is 83 years ago.bathursttiger wrote: ↑Wed 11 Oct, 2017 12:05 pmI thought that Balmain relocated to LO from Birchgrove.jirskyr wrote: ↑Wed 11 Oct, 2017 11:47 amWell it's not the same, how long have Wests been playing out of CSS in some incarnation? Balmain Tigers, used Leichhardt Oval from 1934-1994 and 1997-1999.
Balmain left the ground after the 1994 NSWRL season when they moved to Parramatta Stadium as part of an identity change to the Sydney Tigers. The move was not popular with supporters however and the club returned to Leichhardt for the 1997 season (the Balmain name also returned). Balmain played their final game as a stand-alone team in 1999 when they defeated Parramatta 20–10 in appalling conditions. The ground then became one of the home grounds of the new Wests Tigers team.
As of July 2012, Leichhardt Oval is the most played-on Australian professional rugby league ground in active use in the National Rugby League, having hosted 794 games since Balmain played its first game at the ground against Western Suburbs in Round 1 of the 1934 NSWRFL season, held on ANZAC Day, Wests winning the game 18-5. Balmain's first win at the ground came in the very next game of the 1934 season with a 27-13 win over University.
Can't replace history or being part of it.
