Satire it may be - but its interesting that all those whingeing didn't find offence in this sentence :
"Wests Tigers, formerly known as “Balmain Tigers” is a rugby league club based in Sydney’s rapidly gentrifying inner-west."

wrt the afternoon sun, the ground used to run the other way, but then you'd have the players running into the sun.
Every suburban ground has an issue with the setting sun at some stage - their grandstands aren't tall or enveloping enough.
I've been to every one of the smaller home grounds in Sydney and they all have glaring weaknesses for GA patrons - you have to stand at Shark Park, viewing angles at Brookvale are terrible and getting there is painful, Penrith's ground not so bad but it's generally freezing cold and obviously miles away from all the other population centres, etc.

Betoota doing what it does best, blurring the lines between satire and truth and sending everyone off the deep end.
Don't try to tell me awesome power can corrupt a person, you haven't enough to know what it's like; you're only angry because you wish you were in my position, you nod your head because you know that I'm right.

Well... Not everyone... I'm not sure what's funnier, the original spoof or those missing it totallyCultured Bogan wrote: ↑Mon 30 Oct, 2017 10:56 amBetoota doing what it does best, blurring the lines between satire and truth and sending everyone off the deep end.
It was one of their best. before I'd read the full article (last year) a mate of mine was totally trolling me , he cut sections out and email quotes, he made out that it's was an opinion piece from the SMH . I pretty much had to be restrained at my desk , as I was having a massive adult tantrum.innsaneink wrote: ↑Mon 30 Oct, 2017 12:57 pmWell... Not everyone... Definitely the 2nd one. Pretty sure there are people from the forum walking the streets and dropping into pubs in Balmain this very minute asking if anyone knows this Nigel fella, hoping to find him and give him a good kicking!innsaneink wrote: ↑Mon 30 Oct, 2017 12:57 pmWell...
