Suli reminded me of a young Izzy Folau, so Iam disappointed we parted company. I think he had real potential. I also think there is a real chance this kid might be like a lot of other kids that promise the world and deliver bigger all.

I don’t know what has transpired, but I think I would have given him one more chance, but maybe it was like a no6 we had who just decided he was not prepared to have a go even though we were paying him half a mill a year
^this^

And I feel Buzz wasnt having a go at the outing of Suli, moreso we were stupid to throw the big dollars at him and not see it through. [We knew he was a poor trainer prior to his signing]

Its really up to Suli to make the difference and have the final say if this was the right call. Time to get off the pies kid and stand up!

Hopefully we learnt something from this and don't throw big money at yearlings hoping them to win the Melbourne Cup when they're 5 but they only manage to run 2nd in a maiden at Bathurst before getting shin sore and changing stables only then to become someones pony.

I am glad we pulled out all stops to keep Moses for a season. He wasn't a Gun but did play OK for his first season.
Now he turns out to be lazy at training and Rehab. Training does not matter as much, Greg Ingles is a slack trainer and so was Hayne. Rehab, however can just leave you busted if you don't do it right.

The West Tigers did Suli a favour. The dogs will say "work hard or get out of here".

We threw big dollars at him because we saw his potential and the Storm and Dogs were nipping at his heels. A decision has now been made to release him due to poor training and lack of motivation. That's fine with me if he was happy to go, although I would like a bit of info as to what potential we now have in the lower grades, particularly the 20's.

Cleary also spoke about the challenge ahead for Luke Brooks with Josh Reynolds and Benji Marshall looking over his shoulder, while admitting Tui Lolohea is no guarantee of owning the No 1 jumper.
Holy crap batman, there is one forum poster who might just have a melt down with that comment Ivan.
Tui is a shoe in. What we have here is an obvious ploy of a coach keeping a player on his toes. In reality, if he doesn't play fullback, who will?

Naiqama was great at fullback for Fiji in the WC especially in defence....I was surprised the number of TRiES he saved on his goal line..he has always been pretty good in attack

Whether or not that would hold up week to week grind of NRL I'm not sure..but he is my choice for No. 1 back up for Lolohea...

Kev has also done a good job in the past at fullback when he filled in for Tedesco .
Kev’s running game in broken play and out wide has always been exciting to watch.

Knew it wouldn’t take long before rothefield sticks the boot in.

SINNER
WESTS Tigers paid a ridiculous $1.3 million for rookie Moses Suli before he’d even played first grade. It didn’t work out. So they release him to the Bulldogs. Was it really necessary to then tell the media that he was a poor trainer with a bad attitude to justify their recruitment blunder to fans? Poor form.
That is deserved.
No it's not
The club allowed this situation to happen. That signing was idiotic and unfair to seasoned players on less. The kid has a pathetic attitude all year long yet remains in top grade despite poor performances after his first month. He then gets injured and is mollycoddled despite not putting in during rehab. He then starts bad mouthing the joint.
Eventualy the right decision to cut him is made but you can not blame outsiders from saying its just more of the same from a perenially poorly run club.
And then the same journo for want of a better word lauds praise on Penriths handling of the Cartwright farce. And then the next day another one of their juniors walks out the door. The guy just has an agenda against WT.

Actually Willow just a question, did we get Kev to the club as a centre or did he play fullback elsewhere but couldn’t compete with Teddy ?

Has MWZ played any fullback in ISP? We've also got Gamble, Noff and Heleta if we're desperate for a fullback.

Handy back up, but I don’t think Tui has done anything that warrants being usurped by Kev.

Looking at Moses latest photos on instagram - he certainly has packed on the weight. Looks very un-athletic right now and not looking like a back.
