I wouldn't move him. He's a handful in the centres.

Funny how your opinion changes. I could not find a spot for him in the 17 over the off season, having assumed Suli would be fit and raring to go. Now, one week in to the season, he's the first outside back chosen in my side.

Just reinforces that skill alone won't get you to the NRL. Marsters backed up his good performances with commitment to training and the team. Wanting to be at the club is also important.

Had a cracking game on the weekend, and had roosters defence scrambling. Great threat out wide and I look forward to seeing him play centre more.

I think he could play either tbh....He is one player that is getting better with the experience of first grade. And he looks suited to it as well. If or when our skipper goes down with injury he could easily fill the gap there. Paving the way for Fanua or Milne to start at right centre.
Well its nearly time to have a 'CRACK'....Go you :sign:

Yep, is going very well indeed. My concern is our lack of depth out wide as has been expressed by many on this forum. Any injury to Marsters and we are in real trouble. We definitely need to go after another centre.

Fonu & Nofo in reserves as well as Milne. I'm not that worried about our back-up in the outside backs. Yes we could do with another player but Fonua and Nofo will have more impact in the top grade than everyone excluding Marsters. To be fair to Thompson he has been great as well.

The cool bit is he can start in the Centers and train like a Center.

If he trains like a 2nd rower now, he won't be able to move back, he will be too bulky. But if he trains and plays like a Center he will develop his speed and agility. So when he tires he can bulk up and be like Beau Scott or Anthony Watmough a ball playing second rower.

So much better then Suli...., but big thanks to Moses freeing up our CAP space.

I thought he was one of our best yesterday and a persistent threat. Considering he was marking Latrell, who honestly didn't get a heap of ball, but Marsters constantly beat him in attack with the footwork and offloads.

Didn't look up the stats but his first 4-5 hitups he only went to ground w the ball once, then Roosters started putting 3 men into every tackle. Thing is, 3-man tackles out on the fringes are dangerous, sets you up for some big ruck gaps with a quick PTB.

Was a real threat all game, like he was against the Cowboys in the trial, and I remain very impressed.
I haven't yet watched my recording of the game, but listened live to ABC radio and commentators said he towelled Latrell up - which kind of puts it in perspective for me!

Re-sign him and keep him at centre. No need to move him into the forwards. He's a handful out wide.
No more plodders!

I always find it weird when people suggest one of our better performing players should change position.
He played brilliantly at centre on Saturday, as he did last season. Leave him where he is.

Currently our best centre by a large margin, has not taken a step back since his debut.

He looks fitter this year and would be a nightmare to contain 1 on 1.

Who knows how good this guy can be in a couple years.

Didn't see the game

Love all the feedback about Marsters

We definitely need to keep him as it's unanimous on this forum as to how well he is going and how hard he trained during the off season

And i get the feeling if he's putting in the effort to turn himself into a very dedicated centre when he played juniors in the second row that he believes in IC and is happy at the club

Just have a feeling he will stay long term

Funny how your opinion changes. I could not find a spot for him in the 17 over the off season, having assumed Suli would be fit and raring to go. Now, one week in to the season, he's the first outside back chosen in my side.
You should perhaps look at yourself. Marsters was a certainty for the 17. There was never a surer thing.
Its an opinion!
