Luke looking confident and relaxed
Re: Luke looking confident and relaxed
Happy with Brooks so far though I would still like to see him really take a game by the scruff of the neck and own it.
So far it looks like it's Benji's team not Brook's.

I was impressed with the way he ran at a retreating defensive line on a few occasions....good on him for stepping up

I agree.supercoach wrote: ↑Wed 21 Mar, 2018 1:45 pmCleary would not be into stroking egos like others in the past. He strikes as man that you listen hard when he has something to say because there is no small talk
So much better than a small man with too much to say.

Luke stood up tonight and played really well. I think it was Fittler who said the other three went and Brooks remained. Probably the best thing for him as Cleary's coaching is having a very positive impact on his game.

Best game I have seen him play.
I'm not sold, but I think he's been solid at worst this season and as good as his opposing half every game.
"I was on the bus before you painted it yellow."
He is having a proper dig.
However we have scored 3 tries in 3 weeks.
To be fair he doesn't have many targets.
We lack speed and power across the park.
I maintain we have the least talent in the NRL. Proud of the ay they are fighting.

In the second half The Tigers kicked ball deep into the Broncos territory. A back passed the ball to a charging forward who ran at Brooks and other Tigers player who got down there. That tackle on the Broncos prop (could have been Lodge or Sims) run with a full head of steam , was incredible. For a guy Brooks size he can bring the big guys down and wrap up the ball at the same time.
Ivan "Billy Beane from Moneyball" Cleary!
It's the Ivan of the tiger, It's the thrill of the fight...

For sure Don. Brooks has made some brilliant one- on-one tackles this season. That pressure field goal last night will add to his confidence, he is playing well so far this season and will have a standout game very soon IMO.
His defence has improved tremendously. But he still needs to get his head up and look at what's in front of him when he is controlling the play.
Passing the ball to someone who's totally outnumbered by defenders, hitting Lawrence a split second before Lawrence runs into a trio of waiting forwards, or simply going the wrong side when we are on the attack are cruelling too many opportunities.
