I don't mind the idea of Grubb at 13......I reckon it would suit him,

Reynolds will play 5/8 as the original idea ...I like put him in ISP when Benji starts the brain explosions due to fatigue and a few loses come I bet that thought will be forgotten pretty quick .This team has excelled above expectations but do not be blinded by the fact the team is a long way off the top sides so all hands on deck and that includes Reynolds like as soon as possible.

Benji has hit a wall over the last 4 games. He has been outstanding and exceeded all expectations but when Reynolds is fully fit Benji is our bench utility and Reynolds is the 6.
Ivan will know the best way to work him back in but he is the best 6 at the club. Benji may come on and play 6 with Reynolds at 9 to rest Liddle for 25 minutes or so a game. I think that was the plan at the start of the season.
Benji has been good this season and is allowing brooks to play with much more freedom. He just needs to keep his game simple and get the basics right (kick for field position, defence) and the rest will flow on. He went away from that for a few weeks but that also coincided with our forwards getting beat. Benji behind a dominant forward pack is very dangerous....he knows where the space is, it’s instinctual. It’s when he tries to create the space when it’s not there he gets in trouble.
I maybe wrong but the grind of a season seems to be taking a toll. Bad decisions usually are due to fatigue. He has been good for Brooks though no doubt about it.
But he has been making poor decisions for 10yrs..,,it’s got nothing to do with fatigue.....he just doesn’t always get it for some reason

Fair point he’s got that entertaining gene in him that he can’t restrain. Loves the big play.

It’s in his DNA no doubt and made him as an nrl player. But he has been outstanding this year whe he has played within his capabilities and with an understanding of the game situation.

Why do I get the feeling a lot of people are going to be disappointed when Reynolds finally gets on the field?

I think expectations should be moderate. However, once he gets confidence and match fitness I think he has plenty to give. Don’t go on the last few years at the dogs....Wasn’t playing to his strengths.

Reynolds at 6
Brooks at 7
Benji at 14

A waste of a bench spot, get Reynolds playing a couple of games in ISP to gauge is form.
If it is ok, Benji to ISP with ET covering Liddle at hooker, gives us a stronger bench.
Go hard or go home

This will be it - absolutely for sure! This was Ivan’s original plan and hasn’t yet been tested. The only variation is Benji at 6 and Reynolds 14 until Reynolds gets miles in his legs.

My prediction: all the people whinging that Benji is too flashy will soon be whinging that Reynolds is too pedestrian.

I believe they both offer the team heaps
“Peanuts! Get ya peanuts - in the shell or sugar coated!” Leichhardt memories.

Reynolds will return at 14 then when Ivan is ready Benji will be rested one wk before returning to bench unless grub didn't go well.

He's a midget and would be killed playing as a 13. Wouldn't suit him at any stage of his career.
