It was obvious to me last night listening to him that we could not have got a better person to be our coach. He was both humble and inspiring which is hard to do.
Our future as a club has never looked brighter as long as he has no interference at board level.

He's just such a laid back character, you can tell by the way he's sitting. It is true that we are in good hands. Very reminding of when Shifty took over but probably in better shape.
Onwards and upwards for us I believe.
Well its nearly time to have a 'CRACK'....Go you :sign:

Cleary reflects on first 12 months with Wests Tigers
Author Dan Talintyre Timestamp Tue 15 May 2018, 08:43 AM

Wests Tigers Head Coach Ivan Cleary has reflected on his first 12 months at Wests Tigers, and the way in which his rebuilding process has begun since his arrival.

Speaking on the Fox League program NRL360, Cleary spoke about the key principles behind the rebuild and how his team is tracking along this year following a strong start to the 2018 season.

"I guess I'm lucky because it's [rebuilding all I know as a coach in the NRL," Cleary reflected.

"My three jobs so far have all been rebuilds — my very first game at the Warriors we'd been deducted four points. They usually all start with some salary cap problem where your roster is around the wrong way or you're just struggling that way, and then it starts with a poor performance so you're in that situation as well.

"You need everyone aligned that you're going to be in for the long haul," he said.

"Having said that, your job every week is to try and get a win and you need to pick them up here and there but everyone has to understand it's a long process.

"Sometimes the NRL is tricky, because you can have a little spike and have a good month or even a good season, but that doesn't mean everything if fixed. We see a lot of turnover in ladder positions in the NRL but it's only the real good teams that are there every year.

"So when you build, there's a few things you need to understand: it's going to take time and wins and losses come and go. But the thing that I like where we are at the moment is that people actually can see that there is a change and a consistency to how we play and also in public in how the guys talk.

"That's what we're trying to do. You're trying to give your fans hope that they know what they're going to get, and they're happy to be #OnTheBus."
