Josh Reynolds out for rest of season with shoulder injury

Wests Tigers Timestamp Tue 17 Jul 2018, 04:14 PM

Wests Tigers can provide the following Chemist Warehouse Injury Report ahead of the club's Round 19 clash with the South Sydney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium.

The club has today confirmed that Josh Reynolds is set to undergo shoulder surgery which will bring his 2018 season to a premature end.

Reynolds will have surgery on his right scapula which has been causing him ongoing issues throughout the season. The decision to undergo surgery now was made by the club in consultation with Josh to ensure that he is fully recovered for the start of the 2019 pre-season.

Chris Lawrence is also set to spend some time on the sideline after suffering a hamstring injury in Sunday's win against the Dragons. Lawrence also fractured his hand in the game and will undergo surgery this week. It is hopeful he will return to the field prior to the end of the season.

Mahe Fonua is continuing his rehabilitation program after undergoing surgery for a broken arm and is expected to be available for selection in either Round 24 or 25.

WESTS TIGERS ROUND 19 INJURY REPORT

Chris Lawrence (hamstring) — Indefinite

Mahe Fonua (arm) — Round 24/25

Josh Reynolds (shoulder) — Season

Smart thing to do is just bite the bullet and get it done and then wrap in him bubble wrap.

Very disappointing season from Josh but it was due to multiple injuries.

Hopefully 2019 his body holds up much better...

That sounds like an unusual injury for a league player. No feeling in the arm could just be a pinched nerve consquent to the stress fractures.

Don't worry about next year, Ballin played 3 games in 2 years, around about 70 minutes combined over 3 games, Grub has played 5 games this year already.
He was just on FOX, sounded devastated he can't play on, but said " he is a team player and he did not want to let his team mates down ", if he got to the Ballin stage he would walk away to help the club, he is a genuine club man.
Go hard or go home

Yep, agreed. Pretty weak for people to bag him for getting a couple of injuries.

The no feeling in arm at times a concern. Certainly nerve damage, lets hope its only a pinching nerve resulting from his movement. But jeez, for a league player this is not good. Hoping for the best. Good luck.

Hope Josh gets this sorted and is reDy to fire come 2019.

Have a feeling reading that that Lawrence is touch and go to play again this year.
