Edge back rowers looked terrific
Edge back rowers looked terrific
Siro and Lawrence terrific on the edges today played a huge role in the win.
Sirro has started and finished the year well despite a lull in the middle.
Lawrence has been pretty strong most weeks in the back row.
Augers well for the future.

Strongly agree. Really liking Lawerence's work in the back row !

It's funny, Lawrence is just a really solid backrower. He won't do too many brilliant things, won't make too many line breaks. Will score some tries off good line runs, but his strength is his tremendous tackling. The guy is a dead set gun defender.
Let's rewind... This is the guy that was a dead set turnstyle but was one of the most brilliant attacking footballers in the NRL.
Outrageous fortunes...

Siro played lock mostly and he looked quite good.
Lawrence and halatau should start in the backrow next year imo

I think Siro's neck injury was holding him back.
Arise Sir Waste Anasta, Tool of the highest order!
Lawrence and Sironen got my 2 and 1 respectively this week....Sironen using the ball in traffic was great to see ,,Lawrence in defence was immense..

Both played well and with energy and vigour. Good to see them get stuck in.

in my opinion siro looks a thousand times better when he plays on the right side of the ruck compared to the left.he has done this in the last couple of games and the team has either won or gone close to it.laurence has been good and should stay and finish his contract.
Siro was extremely good and I hope Rowdy isn't let go by the club

Good game from both, but for mine Sirro really shone when shifted to middle either side of halftime and injected some variety for us.Goose wrote:Siro and Lawrence terrific on the edges today played a huge role in the win.

Taylor used the interchange well and seemed to mix things up a bit more, with Tapua also playing left edge to end the game. After holding their pack early, we really took control when Keefy and co started to enter the game.

Sirro, looked great as a roving lock, Tapau needs to play prop as he can't fend & pass with both hands.
His front-on defence has always been solid, I recall him putting many forwards on their back who targeted him from kick offs.MacDougall wrote:It's funny, Lawrence is just a really solid backrower. Not having to chase steppy centres or watch out for Brooks / Benji on the inside is something he's probably happy about, though he now gets Brooks on the outside instead.
