Just watching and it's clear the AFL do so many things much better than NRL... the timeslot one of them.

Congrats Richmond... Never seen them in the yellow singlet

Guess what code is going to Twilight Grand Final next year!, with so many players and officials on ground I'm not surprised that you can't see the Runners' as you are supposed to be following the Ball not the lurkers in the Background!.

Good on the Tigers. Not a massive fan of AFL but follow Richmond loosely. Happy they've got the monkey off the back.

What is it with Tigers teams and not having done bugger all since the 80's (sans the Wests Tigers obviously... applied to Balmain, Cincinnati and Richmond.)

Spot on re: timeslot, day games have it all over night games IMO. Better atmosphere by far. The NRL likes their fireworks too much, arvo matches where you can see the shadows lengthen throughout the game etc is so much better than sterile night matches. Would love to see it change back to day GF's, don't think it ever will though.

Great to hear some positive commentary about the "Tigs", but couldn't watch it until the end without getting tired.

Happy for the Tigers to win. Not a fan but my Melbournian brother-in-law is a life long hapless Richmond fan and Im happy for him to be able to feel what a grand final win is like.

Happy the tiger's won as well. My cousin lives in Melbourne and loves Richmond. Was a great victory.

Will be interesting after today when they compare the musical acts (as they invariably do).

It will be a no-contest. That Macklemore bloke could barely be described as music IMO. NRL has never had too much of an idea when it comes to entertainment pre-game, Cold Chisel have been the only decent act in recent memory, the rest has been garbage.
The on-field product is usually a no-contest as well on GF day, but it is pretty much always in the NRL's favour-it is a far superior physical contest and test of mind, body and courage.

Macklemore is great, I can't believe how many people either dislike or not know him.

Keith Urban was good last year.

If our on-field product is a non-contest then what is the AFL?
Our last two GF's have been decided by 1 and 2 points.
What have the AFL GF's been decided by?

I said it is a no-contest between the on-field product between the NRL and AFL.....NRL is always a far superior contest.
As far as Macklemore goes, what little I've heard of his "music" is garbage. With you being a teenager WestsBen I can understand that you like him, his music is aimed at teens IMO and I would be very surprised if anyone except teens think his music is quality. Keith Urban was bog average last year, the NRL very rarely get it right when it comes to the musical entertainment on GF day.

Nothing wrong with Macklemore and I'm far from teenager. Never been to an AfL or NRL GF but I know which one I would choose if my team wasn't playing.

So when the Detroit Tigers, Tamil Tigers, Tasmanian Tigers, Castleford Tigers, Melbourne Tigers win we will give that a plug too.
