Felt for Bancroft. Played a proper Test openers innings, struggled for a bit and even though the runs weren't coming easily he put a high price on his wicket. I thought the commentators were being pretty harsh on him at times.
Don't try to tell me awesome power can corrupt a person, you haven't enough to know what it's like; you're only angry because you wish you were in my position, you nod your head because you know that I'm right.

I saw nothing wrong with bodyline. It was a brilliant tactical decision decades ahead of its time.

Well done Australia. Hunting for another whitewash. Amazing win after the action of day 1. Smith is really creating a top tier sporting legacy.
Gotta disagree Munk

A feel that it would be fairer in the modern game for Bodyline tactics to be used

We are talking 75 years ago , the protective equipment is stone age stuff compared to now

Brilliant tactics yes

Great innings by Cook. Probably saved his career. Shades of Steve Waugh at the SCG.

I think he's up there with Kallis as one of the most underrated players of all time. 8th highest run scorer of all time, 32 test centuries, 5 in Australia.

Turns out Steve Smith is mortal , dropped a chance and didn't go on for the ton

No doubt the press will be questioning his spot shortly

Poms in the box set , when was the last day the Poms won a day in Australia , 1971 ??

Records tumbling for Cook.

- Only the third overseas batsmen to score 200 in Australia
- Hoghest score by an overseas player at the MCG, surpassing Sir Viv
- Only 30 or so runs short of surpassing Brian Lara on the all time run scoring list
- Only 80 runs short of 12, 000 Test runs.

A box set is what I'll throw at you two clowns shortly

Poms have won two days in a row and it hasn't involved any headbutting or king hitting anyone :o

I didn't realize this but you could get at lunch on day 1 50-1 of England winning the test

They are still 2.15. Ridiculous odds.
