If you want an allrounder Jack Wildermuth could be worth a shot.

In 5 Shield matches, he has played 8 innings and scored 251 runs, 14 wickets at an average of 25.07
We dont want all rounders, they are con artists.
Unless your name is Jacques Kallis or Garfield Sobers.
Today's "allrounder" is a con artist who is average at everything so they declare themselves to be something to help them fit in. Very few are successful because its a BS title.

I'm agreeing, basically unless you're them you're not really an allrounder.

Even then Kallis was basically a bat who was a good first or second change bowler.

You'd want an allrounder to average over 35 with the bat and less than 35 with the ball.

Cummins is our best all rounder.

If we had six blokes we could routinely rely on to put on 350 runs per innngs we wouldn't need an allrounder.

Our bowlers have no dramas taking 20 wickets when they've got a total to defend.

Exactly. We need 6 specialist bats to combine for 300+ and the wickey+bowlers to chip in a further 100-150.

Yeah a wicketkeeper who can bat is always handy. Gilchrist really changed the role of a keeper.

I would still take a great gloveman who is an average bat rather than a great bat who is an average gloveman, keepers win you games from behind the stumps, not so much in front of them.

The Poms really hit the self destruct button on this tour. They've served it up on a platter for the Aussies. Aussie tour of SA should be a good series. The best two pace attacks in the world.

Vince did his job. Giving the slips catching practice again. Bring Root in just before lunch.

nasty fast bowling now. the Pom's are crapping themselves here. batters 9,10 & 11 were seen jumping into cabs and leaving the WACCA. Aussie can smell blood.
