Sue lifting his knees

Unread post by tigermac88 » Fri 27 May, 2016 11:23 pm

Sue is lifting his knees into the defence a lot this year and he did it again tonight.. He needs to get this out of his game or they will end up pinging him for it, as it is we get hammered by the judiciary and match review committee we don't need Sue to give them ammunition to rub him out.

It does look bad but I don't think he's leading with the knee it sort of looks like he is pumping his legs just before impact

He's been doing it for a while now Happy. I mentioned it a couple of weeks back. It's like he's bracing for impact. Hurrell got slammed for it not long ago because someone finally got knocked out because of it.

I remember there was a player years ago who was known for it....was it Jason Stevens?

I think the knee lift was before impact, but it's still a bad habit to have.

I'm with Happy on this one, the return off the dropkick was the only one I saw tonight and like Masterton said, it was before impact and his foot was pretty much back down by the time he got to the defence. Like you said though, he has history but I don't think it was to the extent that Hurrell does, because his knee is right up at impact. It's not a good habit to have, but I don't think it's an illegal one just yet either.

I fear it will cost him at some point. Doesn't look good on camera.

Stevens may have but certainly Craig Smith who also played for St George was a big offender.

Jesse has already been sent a warning letter from the match review committee about lifting his knees.

a few jaws??

just the one from what i remember

anthony tupou. absolutely destroyed it - it was almost in pieces

that raised knee did remind me of it but he brings it down before impact unlike hurrel. and konnie had been issued concerning acts before the big incident telling him to stop.
