Brooks put Carter on his bum all night. Both halves defence is getting way better.

thought the fellas (Brooks and Moses) were strong defensively tonight.
players seem to think they can put it over Moses but he never takes a backward step.
stepped up to, i think Tyrell (average player) and gave him a push.
made some great tackles.

it was solid, the big thing that improved was our forwards getting on top of there's so we had a better set defensive line.

also thought moses/brooks werent put in a position to make defensive decisions as much as in other weeks.

effort was on par with the whole season, no change. outcomes shift dramatically when you get a pack rolling, posession and field position

I thought their defense was solid and we should continue to develop them both in defence and attack. Having ET around the edge has assisted. Stay the line with the halves and Tedecso and settle on a hooker to complete the spine and the team will grow around them. I am honestly thinking Liddle is our long term future. The only comment I will make further is take the Goal kicking pressure of Mitchell and let him focus on his ball playing responsibilities. One for the coaches to work out.

They looked confident in defence tonight, and it makes such a big difference.
Very good, long may it continue. There was a particular perfect bootlaces tackle from Moses on one of the Burgess twins in front of our posts towards the end.

Brooks also made great first contact....

The boys were good tonight,a little surprised how many missed tackles there were across the team, however the usual suspects were a lot better.

Brooks has been able to make a solid front on hit for a while but his problems were the jumper grabbing out wider and sticking his arm out to stop rampaging forwards close to the line. I agree, the latter has become less and he is far more consistent whereas Moses was straight out gutsy last might with his tackling on much bigger men.

To the contrary, I thought WT made Inglis look silly a couple of times tonight. I really enjoyed watching him watch Moses score a try, from behind at ground level.

How good was it seeing Moses run right past him. I know Inglis isn't the same player he once was but it was still a real good effort.
