Classic GI

Post by Fade To Black » Sat 11 Jun, 2016 3:42 pm

Inglis underlined his status as a classic frontrunner during their defeat last night, was not even sighted unless he was grabbing fresh air during yet another missed tackle. Nearly always amongst their most pathetic performers when they lose, when you are getting towelled up you need your captain to set an example and lead...not Greggy!
Just a shame it wasn't Tedesco instead of Moses leaving him for dead for our first try- then he could of given Goanna the arrogant in-your-face stare that Inglis gave him last year.
Had to laugh when GI was yelling at his players- they all would of been thinking "you have a go you mug and then we will".

For such a 'great' Rugby League player, I must say his goal line defence has been quite pathetic in many of the matches I have seen him in over the past 2 seasons. He is often so easily out-maneuvered.
Sooner or later, next year has to be this year - Ricksen

Him falling on his backside was why we scored from the kickoff.

At his peak he was electric, but he is well beyond that. I can only imagine what we'd be saying if he was a tiger.

GI has been struggling, but he has bugger all as targets to set up in the Souths backline. They are slow and predictable

He's always been great on great teams and dismal on poor ones. Souths in general seem to have lost their mojo. It's not like they're missing a lot of players. They've invested big in Sam Burgess and been left wearing a barrel.

God only knows what the refs & linesman were looking at when GI was working over Teddy's neck - deadset grub with a nasty streak when things aren't going well for him.

Was that when Kevvie was blowing up deluxe at the touchie? Classic crusher. 4 on field officials plus a bunker and nobody saw nothing.

There are few things in this sport that give me as much pleasure as seeing GI play like a busted. Surprised the field goal didn't come into play.

So much for the "definite future immortal" call from Phil Gould. Well I suppose we shouldn't believe any of the drivel coming out of that man's mouth.
Extremely frustrated fan. Try not to let my negativity get to you.

He was a great player. He would be copping it on here if we were paying his salary.

I think it is pretty clear Inglis is carrying an injury which impacts on his speed and mobility. At his best very few players can compete with him but he has looked tired and slow for some time.

I agree, he must be carrying an injury because he looked slow, immobile and a shadow of his former self. I also agree that he can be a grub and bad sport because he always seems to single out Tedesco for special treatment, especially when he is being outplayed. I won't forget the vicious hit he committed on St.George's Young a few years back.

He is not injured... He just doesn't care 'cause he is no longer the highest paid player on the team....

Horrific footballer , hope he never comes within Cooee of the WT's

Same goes for Smith ,Thurston ,Cronk ,Matt Scott , Thaiday , Gillett , Parker ,Myles

Where does Qld get all these useless footballers from and why pick them for Qld , may as well forfeit and save the QRL some funds

Nuts , absolutely nuts

GI was once a very dangerous footballer, now injuries and time have worn him down,he can still shine in a good side like Qld because he is surrounded by good players,in a lesser team he is unable to inspire and carry them to a higher level.
Imo GI is like Slater, they have been put on a pedestal by media and commentators, any grub like antics are often over looked or mentioned in another light as being competitive, refs seem intimidated and hesitant to confront or penalise them, the tackle on Tedesco was a perfect example.
