I don't think we're quite up to 05 in attack yet mate . If we were we would have won 54-8
I'd be stoked to see us play like that again. Happy would be spewing if we won the comp but personally I could live with it.
We'd all love it if we could consistently blow teams away like in 05 .
Problem is , is that there's the other aspect of the game... 'Defence' .
We've been lucky the last 2 games , that we've played against two clapped out sides .
We have played two teams that aren't that crash hot but our squad is a quality squad. There are very few weaknesses in our team.

Defence is important. In 05 though our defence came good at the right time. It's about playing both parts of the game.
I think what you will notice is when our confidence comes back our defensive flaws will correct itself

Its amazing what a winning streak can do

Look at sharks, though i cant wait for their great choke..
Its not the great white, it will be the great choke

The Canberra flogging we copped will come back to haunt us IMO .
We are a good side in the NRL. I think we are easily a top 4-5 team. We are winning games with 2 out of our 4 gun players out of the team.

That was a win for those players that aren't out top level players. Nofo, Grant, Ava, Aloiai, Simona and Naiqama really showed us how good a squad we have.

Moses was great, Tedesco was average for him but still good.
Top 4-5 team are you serious Steve?

Top 4-5 don't have those defensive issues on our right side.
Maybe your saying Potentially could be.[/quote

You are correct. You don't get it.

No good being fancy and losing. Good hard, defensive win.
I think you're the one that doesn't get it champ...

Pretty much what I was going to respond with.

We were letting them off the hook when we had them on the ropes.

8pts = 2 tries that may not have scored..

I can imagine the uproar if we came away with nothing on each occasion ...Eels even in their weakened state have proved all Year they are a strong defensive unit....

6 points.
We'll 7 if you include the fg
He missed one. Penalty attempt

The first penalty though I thought they were shot and we shouldve gone for the Try... We'd been hammering their line and they looked relieved when the ref pointed to the posts

We were never in doubt losing last night, or against Saints. My only complaint is are the penalty goals that we insist on taking. It's not just us, it's a trend with all teams. I find it extremely negative, especially when we want to try and get our F/A back into the black. The penalty to get us 8 clear i get, the other 2 were pointless. But overall i never felt we were in too much danger.

Yep I'm waiting for the Cronulla choke also. I think the winning run will end on Monday night, but the real choke will be in the finals
Sooner or later, next year has to be this year - Ricksen
