Not a bad effort considering Cowboys were at full strength for the whole game whilst we used a lot of reserve guys.
Suli and MCK have played themselves into the 17 imo.

It was a good, from what i saw. It looked like a lot of the youngsters played well. Brain snap at the end.

Rankin can't kick. and MM will go all right at 9.

I was hoping MM would have a good run, cause we may need him a bit this year and i certainly dont like Rankin in FG.

Good effort from the Wests Tigers little-knowns. They will take plenty of confidence from that. Tackling was top, Attack has a lot of room for improvement and will get much better.

'meters eater' Woods another captain knock, McIlwrick, Aloiai, Littlejohn were solid.
Haleta had a few brain explosions.
I expected more from Marsters. Idris made a few strong runs.
All in all, solid effort

Im with you ink. If that can be somewhere near our baseline performance, it is very positive.

Quite a few dug deep too. Looked like everyone was putting in the extras.

Dont care about the score. Its a trial and WT were the better side, but its the hit out that means more than numbers.

Other thing to note is Rankin played almost exclusively in the halves. Is this an indication he isn't being looked at for a wing spot?

Pretty decent effort. Happy with that considering our halves were missing. Forwards looked decent but I think Jamal has to be a bench option for round 1, he hasn't got the lungs for 80 minutes yet and I think Chee-Kam is the safer option. Simona's issues haven't helped though.

$50 says Simona wont play in round 1. Need to find a replacement. Think that this further exposes our lack of depth in the outside backs.

Massive improvement on last week...

MCK JLJ and Suli pushed their claims...

Rest of the Top 17 were good..
Wests Tigers don't need a Coach.. The playing group has taken over..

Suli should be there round 1as should Chee Kam based off that performance

Matt M is a solid option at hooker if needed

Suli is way too green to be starting NRL imo...he would be a massive liability, mentally and probably physically

Think that locks in most of top 17 for ROund 1 pending injuries
Teddy
Suli
Idris
Naquiama
Nofoaluma
Moses
Brooks
Taylor
Lawrence
Sue
Woods
McMilrick
Grant

Seumanufagai
Aloia
CheeKam

Just the last position prob up for discussion but i'd say JLJ as a reserve hooker and half given the 2 halves coming off injuries and we will likely play 2 hookers

Most impressive thing to me was that the cowboys got away 2 or 3 offloads at most. Our first contact into tackles was good, we generally were able to hit and stick.
Madgic!

Just want to say a fantastic effort by the team today. Missing our 2 halves we were the better side and leading for the 60 minutes that the top players were on the field and were unlucky not to be up by more.

Don't think we had a bad player amongst our top squad and those in contention - was really impressed by Lawrence and Aloia especially.

Never been a huge fan but I thought Aloiai was an absolute standout from both sides tonight.

yes apart from the soft try before halftime the D seemed more organised tonight .

the big bodies on Brooks side of the field were good

That is madness , absolute madness
They have played monopoly, twister & boggle together after training, does that count?
They shouldn't have. That bloody Boggle can be extremely dangerous.

Yeah without knowing how he'd go under the high ball and if he gets targeted defensively how he will handle it is a concern

But he definitely put a genuine case together tonight for being spoken about at the selection table
