Anyone know how the team selection process works these days? I was u der the impression that if you were not named in original 21 you could not be selected to play. So how is piddle now in the 17? Would tigers have had to request that a and why would the administration allow it?
Approved by the NRL after Ballin pulled up in training.

Or he could retire due to his age and ongoing injuries.
...and we would still be paying him. I'd rather he be making the effort to get back on the park.

Let him be paid to mentor off the field and see out his contract but not take a place in the top 25. Under the circumstances I think the club has a valid case with the NRL.
I just don't get some on here

A poster tells us our biggest metre eater and skipper could be out for a few weeks and some continue to argue about the veracity of an injured player's contract and whether we should retire or not
Do you think Webster would have allowed Tatola ..the named Prop reserve...to play ISP at 3pm ..if Woods injured his ankle at training at 10am...?

If he's out he's out, what's to comment on? Here's my all important take on that situation (if it's the case) - "Well that's not good." Happy? Can the Earth start moving again?

The threads on here demanding Woods step it up are the very reason I get fillthy about the warm and fuzzys afforded to Ballin. When and if he actually gives us something to sing about I will join in the chorus - until then all the hard luck stories are wearing very thin.

Well seeing you are actually commenting in the WT's v Melbourne thread ,and seeing today is actual Game Day , Woods being in or out is far bigger news than whether Ballins contract is being paid for fully by Manly ,partially by Manly , partially by the WT's or fully by the WT's

Both are more relevant than the topic you've started which seems to be whether or not Telltails and I should find the possible injury of Woods (not reported anywhere) as more needing of comment than Ballin's contract  Take your own advice...
