Tatola misses selection again, when will he get a run?
I know. How do they keep picking Lovett over Tatola in the 19 man squad :crazy

Hopefully Cleary has some brains and gives JJ and Tatola a run
I suspect they would prefer JJ and Tatola get game time in ISP than simply sitting on the sideline as an 18th or 19th man.
Fair enough, but they have proven in ISP that they are fit and are up to FG standard.

I would rather a pack that looked like the following (assuming there's no Paseka)

8. Woods
9. Liddle
10. Ava
11. Aloiai
12. Lawrence
13. ET

14. JJ
15. Tatola
16. Sue
17. MCK
(That is a combined bench weight of 439kg)
(The Raiders bench against us in round 3 was a combined 415kg)
The bench isn't what I would pick either. I still believe in 80 min hookers and a bench of two props, two backrowers. However, the orthodoxy today is against such an approach as can be seen from the teams selected this week.

Roosters v Manly

Isaac Liu14 14Lewis Brown
Zane Tetevano15 15Jackson Hastings
Ryan Matterson16 16Nate Myles
Connor Watson17 17Addin Fonua-Blake

Cowboys v Souths

Patrick Kaufusi8 9Robbie Farah
Ben Hampton14 10Jason Clark
John Asiata15 16Zane Musgrove
Shaun Fensom17 19Anthony Cherrington

Sharks v Knights

Jayson Bukuya14 8Daniel Saifiti
Chris Heighington15 9Danny Levi
Jeremy Latimore16 16Sam Stone
James Segeyaro17 21Anthony Tupou

Raiders v Eels

Adam Clydsdale14 13Beau Scott
Luke Bateman15 15Daniel Alvaro
Dave Taylor16 17Siosaia Vave
Joseph Tapine17 18David Gower

Storm v Panthers

Tim Glasby15 14Peta Hiku
Joe Stimson17 15Leilani Latu
Mark Nicholls18 16Viliame Kikau
Tui Kamikamica19 18Moses Leota

So out of the teams already played this week, only the Dogs, Brisbane, the Eels and the Storm do not have a "triangle" player on their bench. The Dogs have always, under Hasler, gone for bigger is better. Brisbane have an established hooker that plays 80 mins. The Storm often do have a triangle player on their bench.

Surprisingly, some of the benches appear lighter (the Sharks) or as light (Manly, Knights, Souths, Cowboys, Roosters) as ours.

ballin or liddle on the bench is fine but you need big guys on the bench and sue and cheekam has to be some sort of joke
sue goes missing so much and chee kam is a reserve football who isnt even young anymore so theres just no point in having him out there
