JJ Felise
Can now see why he hasn't been picked this year. Looked a shadow of what he was like last year. Barely made 5 metres per hit up from the naked eye.
Hopefully, it was just a tough night at the office.

Sharks were very physical. The only blokes who consistently dented the line were Aloiai, Suli and to a lesser extent, Sue.southerntiger wrote: ↑Sat 29 Apr, 2017 9:53 pmCan now see why he hasn't been picked this year. Yeh that I was sort of referring to in my last sentence. They are very good at closing down space.willow wrote: ↑Sat 29 Apr, 2017 9:57 pmSharks were very physical. I thought he was ok. Forced a mistake with his first tackle, landed on his belly when running against a team that was bashing most of our players. Definitely think he's worth another go against Souths.

Yeah I thought he went OK as well...Interchange plan went out the window....needs more time...

Not suggesting he shouldn't be picked in two weeks time. Perhaps my expectations were a bit unrealistic as I was very impressed with him last year. But he didnt seem to run with the same gusto tonight as he did last year.king sirro wrote: ↑Sat 29 Apr, 2017 10:06 pmI thought he was ok. I rate him. As has been said, landed on the belly and got quick play the balls. Looked underdone, therefore more game time
Well he would hardly be high on confidence based on the last coaches assessment of him!

It's hard to pass judgement on Felise after tonight. He had limited opportunities and with a 2 man bench rotation we were well under the pump. He needs a couple of games in firsts before we make any calls on him. Given Woods and Grants' injuries I daresay he'll have a few weeks to prove himself.
The rep weekend has certainly come at the right time.

he has a way to go to earn a spot in the top 17, that said you have to be pretty happy having him as a first drop prop to cover injuries. Pigs take time, and I dont think he is too far behind say Grant, so if he is keen to work hard and wait as he grows into his game then he is going to be a nice inclusion in our top 30.

Should be doing his apprenticeship in the NRL... Use him or lose him!

Thought he ran it up well. Surprised when the camera's showed him on the bench with 15 to go he looked pumped up to go back out there, was worth another stint in that last 10 IMO to provide some energy. Maybe we were out of interchanges by then?
Yes and then decided he was a reserve grader when he was making progress!southerntiger wrote: ↑Sat 29 Apr, 2017 10:15 pmWhich was what?
You mean the coach that picked him in 8 games last year?

Are you basing it off that Taylor didnt pick him in the first three rounds of 2017 when he was out injured?
You wanted Taylor to pick him whilst injured?
