Watched the replay.
He was very solid. One of the better performers.

He'll be an asset to the team and improve as time goes on.
Looked like he is a team player like beau ryan was without all the stupidity

He was a bit stronger than I expected. Not sure if he'll be in first grade regularly next year, but he's good for a player on the fringe.

Gets a pass mark for his debut game in the circumstances. I expect we'll be seeing more of him.

Defo looks settled and one of the boys.
Will prove to be a good signing imo.

To be honest i think he is an above average reserve grader. Solid, but no star. I think he went well for very little preparation with the team. I'd like him to be our angry aggressive centre that puts hits on and is a great defender. He has potential but with the movements being made unless he does improve i can't see him being in firsts next year.

I think he played well, didn't do anything wrong and didn't do anything great.

Just a solid performance, when he had some space to run he looked dangerous.

Should get picked next week.

He was alright. You have to also recognize that we had hardly any backline shifts and most of the hitups made were straight up the guts against the forwards. As a centre he seems fine.

Good filler and I thought he had a good match considering he hasn't spent much time with the team. He'll get better.

Watene-Zelezniak settling in to new colours
Dan Talintyre
Tue 23rd May, 03:00PM
Video interview - http://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2017 ... k_set.html
After his first month in Wests Tigers colours, mid-season recruit Malakai Watene-Zelezniak says he feels comfortable and at home with his new environment.

The former Penrith Panther became Wests Tigers Player #202 when he made his Club debut against the Rabbitohs back in Round 10 — partnering David Nofoaluma on the right edge.

And while the 25-year-old said that changing clubs for the first time in his career did take some adjustment, he's feeling more and more at home and determined to now keep improving.

"The boys and the club have made me feel welcome since Day One," he said.

"It's always scary, I guess, heading in to a new club and not knowing most of the team, so it's been good and really helpful to feel a part of the Wests Tigers since my first day.

"I get along with Dave [Nofoaluma] really well, and it'll be good to build that combination."

As well as making the change in environment, Watene-Zelezniak has also been adjusting to the transition to NRL, having only made his first-grade debut for the Panthers earlier in the year.

"It's definitely another step in my career," Watene-Zelezniak said.

"I'm learning more in every game and I'm learning more in every training session.

"It's a challenge, and I'm always up for challenging and bettering myself."

"I really want to keep improving; I don't want to feel like I can rest on myself now. Every game and every training session I just want to grow as much as I can and gain more experrience."

Solid player but not the spark that we need. He went well and definitely deserves a centre spot this season. If we bought a gun winger then maybe he is okay there next year but I'd like to get a better player.

Obviously Sir Ivan see's the potential, he's had little NRL time, maybe he's the new Bubba2017.
