Taylor is great but he is a concern up the middle with his lack of metres. Cleary has to figure out his role and how to handle his weaknesses. Nofo & Suli are weapons. Naiqama was also good.

You mean backrow? Because our back 5 made plenty of metres today. Our backrow though, not good enough which is our big failing, we lack those big mobile players who can cause damage on the edges and also be effective up the middle.

Considering how unfamiliar and disjointed our halves were, the back 5 all ran over 120 meters. Just shows that the pack stood up today.

Surprised Esan missed 6, looked more effective in defence than Felise. As for ET's yardage, how many of those are actual hit ups versus taking it to the line and passing? And he never gets dominated in the ruck either, no matter how big the defenders.
Lovett is a relatively solid defender, but all his runs are straight lines where he gets hit hard and loses the ruck. Not enough room for both in the 17, and it's a pretty easy decision IMO.

Littlejohn and Lovett ...some of the worst players i have seen put on a tigers jersey....LJ is the worst halfback i have seen in a long time. Would much rather Rankin and that is saying something.

Lovett is not a first grade player. Simple as that. But his stats are about the same ,if not better than, Taylors.

Based on these numbers ...... Marsters is still on L plates and Lovett has earned start.

Much improved performance this week.
If the number completion rates, errors and missed tackles are able to be improved, the team could finish the season, putting pressure for a finals berth or at worst give them confidence going into the off season.

This may explain why he only played 28 min.

This may explain why he only played 28 min.

"There are reports that Tigers player Matt McIlwrick was involved in a car accident before the game against the Dragons this afternoon.

It seems as though McIlwrick had the accident just outside the stadium, and reportedly was very caring for the other driver involved."

Missed Tackle stats often are a furphy...you can rack up a miss tackle by simply dropping off in a 2 or 3 man tackle but the attacker makes no more than another 22cm...

It's miss reads or miss tackles that lead to line breaks or points that are the concern...that happened twice yesterday and we paid the penalty..I mean just about the whole team missed Widdop as he danced and skipped across field when all it needed was someone to belt the ball carrier..then the Frizzel try where you had two blokes on debut simply caught out...

The other major concern is the completion rate...we need to lift this up around the 80% mark so as too not put pressure on our defence and give us more chance to apply pressure to the opposition and score points...cutting down errors with one crucial one which again led to points would also help...
Wests Tigers don't need a Coach.. The playing group has taken over..

Rewatched the game and our pack is starting to aim up, if we can get our attack in sync this year could easily end positively. Hopefully we get Brooks back on the field for the Roosters as he will bring the direction we need in attack. With direction it should reduce our errors as they are to high at the moment and putting to much pressure on our defence.

On another note packer is going to be great next year, always lands on his front and gets quick play the balls. Hits the line with venom and threw a couple nice offloads.
