JT got sacked as there was barely any improvement in anyone over the 2+ years he was here. The club was losing its best players and wasn't able to attract anyone in return.
The timing of it was terrible, but the board was terrified of next year being even worse than the last few. At least Ivan's introduction has given us some clout in the transfer market.

As for today, confident men against nervous boys. Our halves were abysmal, theirs were rep level.
Woods looked like he didn't want to be there, can't believe he's still our captain.
Well said. Ivan needs to appoint someone else as captain because Woods is already in the departure lounge.
Tigers tragic since 1980.

Looks like old Pasty Face has had the last laugh
yep, this was his team. he created it. 2 years to create this rabble for his 3rd, unbelievable
didnt we almost make the finals last year with jt as coach and probley would of if if some games went our way
yeh he started the year of bad but he wasnt never given a chance to turn it around

cleary got lucky he fell into a team he could completely rebuild something jt was never able too do
Is that JTs mother on the computer again? JT wasn't given a chance to turn it around and Cleary got lucky? Jeez you don't have a freaking clue mate. Why don't you leave the adult conversations to the adults.
So Cleary got lucky , did he???? :crazy
It must feel more like getting the Booby surprise. As they've learnt nothing sincePotter had them
It's taking almost a complete empty out of players to get back to anywhere near being even an adequate nrl team.
Taylor has a lot to answer to for the damage that he ( with some help) caused

Why are we so weak we have 4 or more of our players on an average player & we still can't put them down.We deserve the SPOON.

Results can't get any worse than today's game .
If Cleary don't start dropping players he's no different to the last coach we had .

And I couldn't care less if people say we need to avoid the spoon ...players need to be dropped.
We need mongrel ..

Littlejohn is so far from 1st grade that is not funny, also Liddle and Lolohea made basic ball handling errors and our momentum was lost. Our kicking game, short and long was awful.
Than Littlejohn plays turnstile on Easts player, but in the same motion takes Naiqama out nearly perfectly :bash
The best were again the usual suspects Woods, Tedesco and Taylor, Suli was solid but again he was not given any quality ball.
In 2nd half we simply disappeared, too many missed tackles again, 37 at lest 20 too many, Chee Kam missed 50% 4 out of 8, LJ 4 out of 21, Naiqama 4 out of 14, Sue 4 out of 21 :bash

The Tigers played with absolutely no leadership or playmaking ability today, I cant see it changing in a hurry

Lack of a controlling half back really cost us today... We were still in it somewhat at halftime.... Poor kicking and completions saw them run over us.
Effort and attitude is improving though the roster is just not up to NRL level

I watched the game on ch 9. I thought even though we were out classed we played pretty well. Roosters scored 3 tries early in the first half and a bunch in the middle of the second once our guys were tired. Having the Roosters play most of the game down their starting hooker would have helped us as well. It would have been nice to get a few repeat sets... Hopefully when Brooks comes back we can apply a bit more pressure and even up the possession stats.

Our 5th tackle options without Brooks are horrible. No idea why we are kicking on the third off 2 poor passes with nothing doing.

The tigers just do not have any aggressive players that can take control of the game at any stage. No leaders on yhe field.

Heard on the radio on the way home that the Roosters made 18 errors, how they can score 7 tries with that many errors is beyond me. Our defence is so weak it's ridiculous

It really is a sad state of affairs this year. At least wholesale changes next year give us something to look forward to
