Alex Twal to make NRL debut

Post by WT2K » Sun 02 Jul, 2017 1:11 pm

Wests Tigers forward Alex Twal will make his first-grade debut today in the Club's Round 17 clash against the Newcastle Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium.

The 20-year-old forward will become Wests Tigers Player #206 with his debut.

Originally signed to Wests Tigers for three years beginning in 2018, the highly-rated forward joined Wests Tigers on a mid-season release only a fortnight ago from the Parramatta Eels.

In his Intrust Super Premiership debut for the Club last week, Twal recorded 16 runs for 157 metres, two offloads and 51 tackles as Wests Tigers sprung an upset win over Newtown.

Twal will come off the interchange bench in today's team to take on the Knights.

Here's hoping you play well in a Tigers victory

He has been good in the minutes he played in the first half.
Will only improve.

Twal is a strong human. He dominated in NSW cup and Newcastle is at that level. Good start young man.

Look at those stats. I reckon he will be fine as one of our bench props next year.

He looked very good during the game. Hopefully he gets as much first grade experience as possible over the last few rounds.

Impressive debut by the youngster. Looks a very prudent signing by the club. Will combine well with the likes of Packer and Matulino.
