Exactly the response needed - but the perception is very different. Spread the word.

This club has always been a sleeping giant. Given the lack of onfield success it's a miracle we're as strong as we are off it. We have the roster in place next year to be competitive and make the finals.

Someone should make Buzz and his DT cronies write all that out 100 times on the blackboard.
But it probably would not do no good.
All they are interested in is "Fake News".
They wouldn't know how, old Buzz would have the DT's and it would end up looking like pre school attempt.

Next year is an automatic renew for me. That hasn't been the case for me since 2012.
The club should see this negativity towards us as an opportunity and use it to get more membership numbers for 2018. Reading press releases like that inspire me to join.
New Team, New Direction a little Rocky music maybe a bit of eye of the tiger!
Shut up and take my money! Where do I sign? :D

Seems as though the sleeping giant is finally starting to wake up. Better late than never!

Glad the club got this out quickly because we needed to respond to that DT article, even if it was utter nonsense. Good job to JP and the board.

Now if we could just win a few games...
Tigers tragic since 1980.

It is not particularly well written (which does make it seem more relateable), but the content is encouraging and is a good reply to calls for the club to be relocated or merged. Nice job.

Faith in Tigers Restored
YAY! :supporter: :sign:
Can I be honest swaggy? If it just takes one letter from the CEO to take you from faith lost to faith restored, you are placing too much emphasis on one set of opinions.

The specific detail of what Pascoe wrote (and the timing) are great, but there's nothing much there that hasn't been publicised in segments in the past. It shouldn't take a CEO letter to allay fan concerns in the light of media mud-slinging.

This part I found interesting.

Our future is secure. We have a license agreement with the NRL that states that the game is not entitled to direct or compel any club to relocate. As well as that the NRL cannot direct or compel any club to merge or enter into a joint venture, and cannot force the change of identity, logo, name or branding.

How do you believe they intend to manage to force the Sydney culling?
I'm sure they could invoke their license if they fail to meet certain operating KPIs and as they mention fail to be sustainable but it doesn't sound like our club would be in a position like that in the near future.

And we definitely saw this in 2005. It would only take a couple of good seasons and our fan base would be running rings around the likes of Manly Souths etc.

I think no matter what metrics or KPI you chose to include Wests, at the very worst would sit in the middle of the pack of Sydney teams.

You do not need to be a genius to see that Pascoe is not one. You would recognise that if you were smart yourself. Season 2017 has a lot to do with repercussions of his previous actions. Anyway he seems to be making amends on the corporate side so that is encouraging, again like i said.

I did not need to be told how my club is progressing...I know where my club is going and it is not out the back door.
I certainly appreciate the Boss reaffirming we are stable ,financial and community active ,IMO there must be talk in RL circles that our club is hitting its straps hence the garbage that is being spewed out by these media types with agendas. The most poorly managed organisation in the league REALLY this does not seem the case from a joe blow member like myself! Souths have over 25k supporters not many of these members are rolling up at ANZ of late mostly empty seats are they also badly run?
