To be honest here, Cleary is more than likely gonna pick this as our rd 1 side:

1. Lolohea
2. Nofoaluma
3. Suli
4. Marsters
5. Naiqama
6. Reynolds
7. Brooks
8. Matulino
9. McIlwrick
10. Packer
11. Lawrence
12. McQueen
13. Taylor (c)

14. Eisenhuth
15. Twal
16. Aloiai
17 Grant

Marshall, Sue, Rochow, MWZ, Milne, Fonua, Thompson, MCK, Liddle will all have to earn there spot from the NSW Cup competition.

Question, what happened to Suli at the end of the season, he didn't play in the last 5 or 6 games, and I didn't see his name in the injury list ?? or did i miss something ??

I actually agree on that team....its obviously gonna change over the course of the season and also agree that those mentioned should prove emselves in ISP

I believe suli had injured his ankle or thereabouts. I recall seing him doing a hospital visit with liddle and he had a moon boot on.....and that was a little while after liddle had done his shoulder...

Suli is excellent when fully fit

Anyone toying with Reynolds in the 9 and a halves combo of Benji and brooks? Liddle of the bench?

Don’t think it will happen either . However if Reynolds was given the 9 jersey and made a good go of it. He would be in the reckoning (along with Wallace:Peats) for the NSW 9 given the shortage of hookers in NSW.
Ivan "Billy Beane from Moneyball" Cleary!

I am very interested to see how the three quarter line and the second row looks in round 1, probably the most competition for spots there.

I would not be surprised to see Benji wear the #14.

I hope hes wearing at least a #14 cos he is the only player that can potentially produce something out of nothing now that we have lost Teddy

Well thats simply not true. Reynolds, Lolohea, Nofo and Suli are 4 that can create things from nothing. All 4 are unpredictable and thats what creates these opportunities you speak of.

My biggest concern with our side is if Lolo cant nail the fullback spot. Who's plan b?

I assume Kev. I think he can do the job but we do need better.

I also think Liddle and Aloiai can create something from nothing.

whoever is playing full back is in good hands with brett hodgson comin back. He was a legend fullback and im sure he can provide some good feedback and advice to lolo or whoever is at #1

our backline will be o.k just worried about our backrow at present it has no aggression or punch, we just have workers, but that will not win us games.

IMO there is massive concerns over Lolohea being a consistently good NRL fullback. A fullback needs to be down right dirty tuff.....he isn't. Was put in a position tonight a fullback often gets put in close to his own line and didnt lay a hand on the Samoa guy who scored. I dont think he has the rugged toughness a fullback needs.

I hope im wrong. So talented but just not the qualities of a fullback.

er....a guy called Ivan Cleary was a pretty handy full back - I'm sure he could help a little as well.

Yep and Teddy was so tough it oozed out of him!!!!

Give the kid a go - he hasn't even played a game for us there yet.
