My big concern with Brooks is with nearly 100 first grade games to his name, he still can't take the right option at the line. Throws at least 2 passes that hit the ground, 1 forward pass and 2 hospital balls to a second rower EVERY game. His short kicking game is probably the worst in the league.
Don't get me wrong, he has done some brilliant things on the field and definitely has what it takes to be a great first grader but it seems he will never quite get there mentally.

Definitely his last chance, at least with us anyway.

IMO with Reynolds being a much better running half than a playmaking one it is going to put enormous pressure on Brooks to come up with the brilliant plays with his passing game and attacking kicks. Brooks would go much better if he was strictly a running 5/8 who had a skilful 7 next to him. Hope he goes well next year but if not we must look elsewhere, a successful team absolutely needs a highly skilled 7 creating opportunities.

He needs to run more often when we're inside the other teams 15. All he ever does is pass it to Rowdys hip. Tui woud be more effectual as our playmaker on the left.
