Some absolute clowns on here.

There will be no changes to the 17 that took to the field against the Roosters.
You wouldn't put Aloiai in if fit?
No, he earns his spot like everyone else.

Rochow and MCK were both good and will stay. Lawrence the least impressive but eh's captain and won't be dropped anytime soon.
Ridiculous. Aloiai is our best backrower and should be close to the first person picked.
Agree with Aloiai being selected if fit was the stand out in the trail against the sharks . You need to select the best on offer against the storm.

He's not our best back rower.

Cleary will stay loyal to those who played so well for us against the Roosters. 1000%

1. Tui
2. Nofoaluma
3. Milne
4. Marsters
5. Thompson
6. Marshall
7. Brooks
8. Packer
9. Godinet
10. Twal
11. Rochow
12. ET
13. Eisenhuth

14. Gamble
15. Aloiai (if fit)/ JJ Felise
16. Matulino
17. MCK

MWZ, Kev and Lawrence are all extremely unlucky but I jus couldn't find spots for them. I doubt Lawrence will get dropped because he is the captain but this is the side that I would like to see.
I don’t know if you watched ISP game but Milne did not impress me.
Yeah. Milne seemed slow and kept getting pushed back in tackles. The other centre played miles better.

McQueen didn't look great either.

Standouts in ISP were:
JJ Felise
Luke Garner
Tyson Gamble

Honestly, with that performance, no one deserves to be dropped.

We probably have 2 spots to play with in firsts if you really wanted to make changes.

Godinet
Naiqama
Couldn’t agree more!
I’d like to see Mahe take kevs spot and Macca
At number 9.
Maybe swap cheekan for Aloiai on the bench.

Left field. Given our tough start and the evenness between our forwards I wonder if a weekly or bi weekly rotation would help to keep our levels of intensity up week on week. We could rotate one or more of Aloia, Sue, Grant, Felise, McQueen with current forwards for the first 6 weeks and settle on the best pack from there on.
Did you used to select the Aussie cricket team??
You don’t use someone Grant or McQueen if Packer or Mataluino are available.
You just don’t.

He's had what, 2 good games in the back row in his career thus far? Last time against the Roosters last year. And trained half the off season at prop.

Our back row did really well against the roosters and Ivan won't dismiss those that have performed well. That's the entire premise of this squad. Work hard, perform well and you'll get your rewards.

Josh needs match fitness. he's had a lot of trouble with injury in his career and you don't want to rush him back. At best he gets a run off the bench in stead of MCK which would be extremely harsh on him.

He'll be named in the extended squad though.

Please don't play ET at dummy half for 20, he is not the best passer of the ball
I would nearly say ET & Dene at hooker in this game back in 2016 contributed to the our loss

Give me a specialist regardless of ability over a stop gap every time.

It’s time to stop playing blokes out of position

Thompson, Eisenhuth and Twal keep their spots as they are in a few of my Fantasy League sides...Sue, Sironen and Fonua can feel unlucky tho..
Wow! I hope you’re having a laugh! .? :?

Can’t say I agree with you regarding Lawrence but I’m not worried as every judge who knows anything about footy (coaches, assistant coaches etc) has Lawrence in their team (and in their leadership group) (and captain of that leadership group) but hey you’re entitled to your opinion.

I do think Fonua for Kev has merit. Fonua’s problem on Saturday was the high ball and if he moved one in he is somewhat protected from that. Not sure his defence would hold but his grunt in attack would be good.

Against this mob we'll need our best on the field so .....
1 Lolohea
2 Thompson
3 Marsters
4 Naiquima (on notice)
5 MWZ
6 Marshall
7 Brooks
8 Packer
9 Godinet
10 Twal
11 Lawrence
12 Alioia
13 Eisenhuth

14 Taylor
15 McIllwrick
16 Matulino
17 Chee-Kam
18 Rochow
We usually play well against the wrestlers from the South so I'll be happy with whoever's picked.
Well its nearly time to have a 'CRACK'....Go you :sign:

Ivan's selection this week will be interesting. It will show us whether Ivan will pick a team that he thinks can challenge the Storm. I have trust that Ivan will pick the best team for the occasion. Perhaps bringing in Fonua for Kevie... offloads to Fonua would send shivers up the Storm's spine.

Fonua needs to be in the side. Against his old side he should go well.

All I can say it's a nice problem to have debating which first grader in ISP deserves a spot.
