Eisenhuth and Twal. The new old school rotation.

Post by Magpie Magic » Sun 18 Mar, 2018 4:46 pm

When Packerlino where off either side of half time especially after half time I was worried. But these two guys are flawless. Hardly an error and nobody is too tough.
Wait till Twal is given license to offload.

The commentators even mentioned Twal's offloading on the night and how he's starting to gain confidence in doing it.

I couldn't be happier with the prop rotation we have going. The depth is doing us wonders this year.

It amazes me that they let Twal go when they lack punch and consistency in their forward pack. In his current form, Twal would walk straight into the Parra pack.

He’d walk in on one leg. So would Aloiai probably. Another sneaky pick up from Parra.

Parra have always been a club that wants huge forwards, hence letting go Twal and Aloiai. We got the better footballers though.

Both have been exceptional finds. My only critique, and it's a minor one, is that Eisenhuth can at times be guilty of stunting our attack. His work as a ball playing prop is very good, but I find the ball often ends up in his hand and dies at inopportune times. That's about it though - both great defenders and the combination of Twal's constant line-bending 10-12m runs and Eisenhuth's second phase play make them a perfect compliment to each other too.

I was a little worried about the lack of experience in both players coming off the bench but I worried over nothing - both players played very well once again and give the team a great workrate around the ruck. Our forward pack has a great balance ATM.

He's related to Gallen isn't he? Might be in the genes...

Parra were caught asleep at the wheel over Twal, they just assumed that being a Parra junior he would stay.
There were about 5 clubs chasing him but he chose WT because he thought he could be a chance of playing NRL here.
While Parra are still looking for a tall frontrower.
