Reynolds was good but looks a bit underdone. Would it not be better to go with another prop on the bench?
No, we want to keep speed up out of dummy half. Force Liddle to play 80 and he'll have to conserve energy throughout. We have a lot of long minute forwards, they don't need an extra prop.upthetigers wrote: ↑Mon 16 Apr, 2018 1:53 pmReynolds was good but looks a bit underdone. Good point I was just thinking Sue provides some good impact off the bench.Nelson wrote: ↑Mon 16 Apr, 2018 2:03 pmNo, we want to keep speed up out of dummy half. Also if Reynolds needs to cover half/hooker for more then 20 minutes he will struggle.
I wouldnt change much barring injury but id actually have Reynolds playing a few weeks in iSP looked very underdone and actually hindered our game.
Cant see anything on the horizon for Tui either he'll have to bide his time also.
If rowdy is out looked like he was hobbling id bring McQueen in on the bench and push Aloiai in the starting spot.

I’d go with:
Thompson
Nofoaluma
Marsters
Naiqama
MWZ
Benji
Brooks
Aloiai
Liddle
Matulino
Lawrence
Rochow
Eisenhuth
Taylor
Twal
Chee-Kam
Sue
Taylor can cover Liddle for a spell and move into the forwards. Sue for impact off the bench. Reynolds to get so match fitness up - it’s fine having him play an intense 20 minutes but I don’t know if he has it in him to play longer minutes if we need him to just yet.

Yep, I like the look of CFK's team above. Taylor will probably need to come off the bench rather than start directly after his lay-off. He can also slot in at DH to rest Liddle and Reynolds needs a couple of weeks in ISP to get his fitness up. We looked better when Liddle rolled us forward out of D/H than when Reynolds was there. Also Brooks slotted in a few times when Reynolds couldn't get there in time.
I thought Sue ran hard and defended well - was keen to impress. I'd give him another run.

Yep, and some good impact off the bench between Aloiai and Sue.Geo. wrote: ↑Mon 16 Apr, 2018 3:17 pm1 Corey Thompson,

I dont see why not give Fonua a crack at first grade. MWZ has not done anything great to stay in the team.

Aloiai must be starting prop till Packer is back for his aggression.

MWZ has done nothing wrong to get dropped, wouldnt drop him just for the sake of it. I wouldnt bring Fonua in yet.
Yeah. Nofo is in the team so he brings the ball back strong so don't really need fonua. If it ain't broke...
