Nofo Must Do His Time

Post by stevied » Sat 21 Apr, 2018 7:49 pm

Nofo started the season in regies and clearly that's where he needs to return to. If he'd read the play correctly in just one of his opposite's three tries, we win. Rarely have I seen such a defensively challenged winger. Yes, he is solid rucking it out of our end and, yes, he can score a try but enough is enough. To play first grade you must be able to run hard, catch the high ball and DEFEND. He is merely passable under the high ball and cannot make correct decisions defensively. That's 1 1/2 out of 3, not good enough to play first grade.

While we need to take a closer look at each time they went down his side to determine who's most at fault, I will say this. Ken Sio's first try was Benjis fault. He made one of the worst defensive decisions I have ever seen. He charged infield like a mad man for Pearce while Rochow had Pearce covered. He even ran across and in front of Rochow. That meant Marster and Nofo were stranded. I have. No idea what Benji was thinking.

So that try we cant blame Nofo. Will need to look at the other incidents again.

PLEASE return this guy to ISP where he belongs ....the last try scored through him was another joke of a defensive read ....I almost forgot there were another 2 ..one defiantly not his fault but this is not good enough!

He could have made different choices, but it seemed, as all wingers are taught, that he was simply following his half and centre inside him.

Third try is definitely MCK's fault , lazy marker and the whole team is jacked to the spot to protect the inside play because they can't slide (4th try )

The 2nd was definitely Nofoaluma's fault (3rd try

I'm confused , why didn't we just keep them to 2 tries , we'd have won and we wouldn't have to use our memories

I'm pretty sure you're referring to Sio's second try - that one was definitely benji's fault

Could be. The try to make it 18-14.

Even if only one of the tries was his fault solely that's one too many as it shows he hasn't learned. I also think that there can be more than one player at fault when misreading the play.

No matter how you analyse his performance tonight.
Surely you must see that he is a liability.
I doubt that he will be with us next season.
I’d take Nathan Ross.

3 tries down our right edge. Coincidence? No.

Was i watching the same game???

Nofo was caught out because the inside men missed their tackles leaving nofo outnumbered.

Up and in defence works that way. If anything it was the 3-4 players inside him

Nofo might get some good runs here and there but he isn’t scoring tries and letting too many in
