Both Packer and Mats had over 50m at half time, I looked to see how they were doing particularly because people always criticise them. The 2nd half when they returned, possession wise, didn't really allow for many meters to be made.

Also both Packer and Mats are constantly thrown flat passes when they are already at the defensive line, vs the outside backs who typically get it from dummy half and are able to run to the line which boost's there meters made.
Thoughtful, intelligent posting.

I'll add you to my must reads, that'll make 6.

Finals or not, this year has been great. Such a pleasure to watch our team this year. Unfortunately that slump will cost us, but we have a good foundation of players with a great coach to go onto bigger and better things. Go the mighty tigers.
Did you see Ivan's presser when he spoke about how the Tigers played 15 in a row this year before having a week off instead of playing 10 or 12 before the week off and it was hard for some of the players and he said they will learn from it but they look alot fresher now

I will be honest, i dont dissect the stats if we walk away with the win.
Otherwise im over them with a magnifier in hand

As a collective unit they did well enough to get the 2 points

Packer 9 runs for 67 metres, he's getting worse I tell you, he is no longer that destructive front rower that he was last season. I have bigger wraps on guys like Sue, Twal and Grant to be honest.
Man im sick of people bagging rhis bloke and mats. They work tirelessly off the ball and defend their asses off. Our structure is not based in the middle of the field.
Stats are what they are
But those boys make a diff imo
I do not know how many attend games live as if they did they would see what Packer offers this team , he is obviously playing injured but his talk and positive influence is evident on the field as it there to see.
It is not always just about stats...

We had 52% possession at half time from memory. Up against the rope in the 2nd half but defended really well. 8-1 penalties in 2nd half..
Which means we had only 32% possession in the second half - what an effort as we still won the second half 12-6

Impressive which ever way you want to slice and dice it
It was a very stop start affair in the 2nd half which helped us

Man, I'm sick of people supporting averageness.... Win or lose the numbers are weak, they're job is to defend their asses off and make 100m.
Imagine how better we'd be with forwards that went forward .
Always room for improvement...let me remind you we are 10th
Cmon Ink don't under sell us

We are 9th with a bullet :sign:

I like how Mbye is coming along.
Very safe under the ball, good defence and I really liked his try and support play - unfortunately something Tui lacked.
Think he will work out very nicely for us.
I thought his defence last night was ordinary to be honest - missed a couple of one on one tackles which a fullback should have made. He's better than Tui though.
Sure. But I tend to favour attacking fullbacks - I think he will be ok in defence but a real bonus in attack.
Anyway, time will tell.

Got pinned in goal as well. Taking his time, wishing for the ball to go dead. Agree, he is still better than Tui.
