It is the next day and I am still sooooooo disappointed. I really thought this year was a real goer. Alas, here we come 2006,2007,2008 and 2009 all over again.

In all honestly did anyone deep down think any thing would change after the previous years of bad coaching ..what happened in the offseason to change your view..for me Steve Folkes was positive and the signing of Lote other than that the coach keeped his two asistant coaches to be honest Simmons should of been punted and Gentle could of taken the role of putting whitches hats out at training etc. The recruitment was poor as normal the end result to this was the board gave Sheens an extenstion who would of believed that last September.

People confused quantity with quality re: the recruitment.
Yes, Lote is quality - we got it right there.
But quietly I was concerned again as has been the case these last 5 or so seasons about our recruitment

We need a broom thru the joint...Sheens can coach, weve all seen the brilliant footy weve played at times....but that type of footy and consistency - which is whats needed to figure in end of season footy - those two variables dont go hand in hand.
But theyve heard all the speeches, all the threats....the ego gets in the way of logic at times.

We rarely play semis style footy, any coincidence our players more often than not fail at Origin footy.
Semis footy, origin footy, its similar, tight, tough, arm wrestle grind it out- tuck it under the arm style football

Fitzy at half I have long supported sheens and his selections and didnt even mind fitzy on the bench or wing at worst but halfback WE NEED ANWSERS and soon and the only good thing is we repeat o7 and 09 then with melbourne out, Lui or Tauamata in at half , though has shown just how valuable moltzen has been, personally i think our recruitment was great just some bad luck loosing 2 half backs in the first few weeks
