Heritage Round at the SCG

Post by towntiger » Sat 08 May, 2010 9:05 pm

Hi guys, just caught the commercial on tele with Benny and Mario promoting Heritage Round at the SCG.

I dont know about others, however i look forward to this game every year now. 30,000 plus at the SCG and then having the chance to take my kids on to the field of the SCG afterwards. What an experience. I know the seating/sightlines are not ideal, but for one game this is truly magical - the atmosphere of the crowd, the teams coming out of the members stand side by side, the marching bands, dancers at half time, the run for the cardboard corner posts at full time - what an experience!

When will the page go up for Heritage Round - i am getting sick of seeing the Roosters logo.

Hope we can turn the tables on last year's result.

See you all there!

Why not? We have as much 'heritage' as Balmain.

yes i agree with you galahs. Didn't wests beats Souths in 52????? Buts lets celebrate 69 every year. We all turned up last week expecting to see the magpies heritage jersey and we were ambushed by a bunch of orange zooper dooper iceblocks. ironically they played accordingly. when at leichardt they can play in whatever they want but when in Campbelltown we should be in the black and white...simple solution. It's all good tho just remember how good it was last year defeating Manly in black and white. "Its a Black and White landslide...."

being a " heritage round", wouldn't it make sense if the balmain jersey was worn for first half and the magpies jersey worn for the second.
is that too much common sense???

I would prefer if they just alternated the jerseys each year.

I remember it being said that both heritage strips were going to be worn 2 times each this year.

Balmain Strip
vs Souths
vs ???

Magpie Strip
vs ??
vs ??

maybe the Dragons again?

Should have 2 jerserys that are similar a Home and Away, I like the heritage stuff but we are the Wests Tigers now not Balmain and not Wests. We can have heritage of both great clubs in the one jersery that can be worn at Campbelltown and Leichhardt and anywhere else some one just needs to come up with one. I have the Black 2009 strip which I think was the home jersery in 2009 which I love and dont get me wrong I like all the alternate strips and retro strips but it would be nice to see the one jersery that represents us and see the whole crowd wearing it eg St George ( oh how I hate St George) thats just my opinion any way.

Yeah the Dragons seems a likely option

Seems odd to do it at an away game, though weve done it before i think (kogarah) and not all teams get to have it at home....doesnt really fuss me either way, though it will be good to see this years hooped versions at least once, nice change

sure have. :D
for a long time was happy to go with the flow, and not rock to boat.
so now am finally just going to speak my mind, and do some stirring. its more enjoyable
if you don't ask questions, things don't get changed. :.
seriously as long as wests-tigers win, the colour of the jersey won't matter :sign:
its the two points that count.
