Position on Ladder

Post by tig_prmz » Sat 07 Aug, 2010 10:38 pm

Our +/- is so bad that if we don't win next week, we could be 6th or 7th. Brisbane vs Parramatta (Parra season is over), Warriors vs Newcastle (Warriors ofcourse) and Manly vs Dragons (Dragons have already started to choke). So, give this, we would be 8th after next week if we don't win against Panthers. Scary isn't it?
My Round 1 Team 2018

6. reynolds 7. brooks
8. packer 9. ET 10. Twal

Gee I laugh when people (esp our fans) talk about St George choking. I'd love to be in their position not ours...

I knew we were stuff then that clown of an assistant caoch Royce Simmons said before the Manly game, we don't want to have a poor finish and finish 5th or 6th. He was talking like the finals were done and dusted. They are not and we deserve this loss for the awful nature of our committment and play over the past month.

I will be very very surprised if we win another game this season. What a laugh it would be to miss the finals from here, but you know it will happen. And if there is one good thing to comeout of that it will be the end of Tim Sheens

Yossarian, as I said, they might be 6th or 7th, especially because IMO Dragons won't choke this time. But, everywhere, everyone says they will. So I guess tigers might end up 8th.

You sounds like Souths fans - always talking about the past. No I mean top of the table, well drilled, few errors and looking like a team who is a legitimate title contender.

so you would rather not win a comp in 30 years, then not make the semis 19 out of 20 years and winning a comp?

I think id take win a comp then losing every year in the big games

I wish I had a dollar eveytime people say the dragons wont choke this time and are a different team this year

I just had a go at the ladder predictor, had us 8th on 32 points, with bunnies 9th on 28. So we could need somewhere between 1 and 4 more points to make the semis

If someone had made a tackle in the last 3 seconds of extra time, that would have been the one point at least.

Tigers are currently 5th with a -2 differential, Titans are 4th with a +5 differential. The Tigers need to bounce back against Penrith next week. God knows it's been ages since we had a win against them, but there should be a full house at Campbelltown and the team needs to fire up sooner rather than later.

Read my post again. Forget the last 30 years, worry about what's happening now.

I agree Yossarian, forget about the past (inluding last night), think about the future and possibly an 8th spot with 3 weeks of regular football remaining.

i wont be thats for sure .. the form we are in will see saints smack us first week of the finals ... i understand YS POINT ....SAINTS WILL MAKE THE TOP 4 we on the other hand may limp in ...just ... and to think the storm are not eligible says this year is no different to the past 5 years and a few before that .....1 finals appearance is just not good enough in 11 seasons ......

OMG why is everyone disagreeing with my opinions on this forum? My main point is look ahead to the Panthers game, which is a must win for us to stay away from the conjustion at the bottom. I never said I will be happy with an 8th finish, but it's still better than finishing 9th isn't it?

dont take it personally ... last nights loss really hurt , because it hammered home what a few in here have been seeing in us , even when we were winning games .....
losing to souths was a really poor effort and its gunna take some time for me to get over .......
