The Mitch Brown No try

Post by BigUnit » Sun 08 Aug, 2010 12:56 pm

Was it a try or not?

Not sure of exact rule but if it bounces off his chest and then grounds it with his torso isnt that a try?

Try IMO. I couldn't BELIEVE that wasn't given, if he didn't ground it with his hands, surely he grounded it with his torso and there was no separation. I'll have to have a closer look at it to just assure myself, but I'm confident that was a try.

If they gave the Watmough and Inglis tries in the last couple of weeks, they could have given that.

Considering the try that was awarded in the Titans game the night before, I thought Brown's was a certain try.

This is my issue with the referee's - there is just no consistency.

Benefit of the doubt would have been a fair call

Definite NO TRY

What was wrong with Mark Mini's try? the other bloke dived straight over the ball and he was first to plant a hand on it

According to the boss of the ref's ( on 2GB) it WAS a try and it should have been awarded.

Well, that's nice to know, eh? Those two premiership points would have been handy!

That means nothing now. Maybe more frustration, but nothing!!!

if the video ref wasnt paid off by Russell Crowe, then we wouldnt have been robbed and be sitting in 2nd place. instead we will be fighing down the bottom of the 8
