His kicking game is outstanding. Seems very composed for a young half as well.

Good player, A+
Shame Manly couldn't of kept him.

Should we have bought him off Parra before he went to Manly?

When things start to gell again, Lui will be brillant. Last night he tried his butt off to get things going but his timing was a little off along with his runners. These things will come together, lets hope its sooner rather than latter

Sheens is spot on. Lui is younger, and is already arguably better. Benji just needs to allow him to do more of the kicking.

Besides, why would we want a third halfback when we already had Lui and Moltzen? I guess that's why Sheens is in charge, and not some people on here.

I thought Lui was great last night, probably tried to hard and was behind a beaten forward pack but impressive none the less.

Great.... i think not, he was responsible for about 40% of the kicking (the rest benji) and all the kicking was crap.
His error on the attack led to a bulldogs try, and his error on the second with only 5 minutes indirectly led to another bulldogs try.

He tried hard and made one very good run, but this is not enough, he needs the bread and butter of a decent kicking game, and he at half back has to take some (not all) blame for the lack of organisation.

At this stage Lui is a long way behind hodkinson, he has more potential, but until he gets the basics right he needs to improve greatly.

... thought you are right in some ways...i would have hodkinson in our team in a heartbeat...
Im back!! oh its true.... Its damn true!!!

I rate him. He's probably one of the best defensive halfbacks in the comp and once he develops a good running game he'll be a gun.

I'd prefer Lui - thought he was good last night especially behind a beaten pack

A shame we couldnt get him, I think he's from the St Andrews area.
My brother knew him a few years ago, actually he bought the same car as my brother's because he liked it so much.
It makes me wonder how he ended up at Manly and then the Dogs particularly around the time a few years ago when we had no halfback as well.

I still got faith in Lui, our forwards were dominated last night, it felt like everything was in slow motion and to much side to side movement.
Gee its grouse at hardware house!

i think everyone seems to be skipping the fact that he was 400k to join the dogs and there is no way sheens would risk 400k on someone who has played the number of games he has in such a key position
