It's almost like the club does zero scouting in Sydney. Maybe the new scout will change things but clubs like Parra and Penrith always have boys in these sides and then the Roosters throw the cash at a number of others.
I agree. We'll have to wait and see what improvements are now made especially now that we have lost Keebra Park.
Could well be a blessing in disguise that brings better results.
Well we have a new recruitment guy now, maybe that's the strategy, let the kids come on a bit more before over-investing.
As long as there is a strategy. Losing one of the top nurseries in the country and not replacing it would be awful. Rebuilding our affiliations with schools in Sydney other than Holy Cross can only help. Not just St Gregs either, but hopefully we can help them get back to their old glory days which are now sadly long gone.

Good to see Seyfarth starting, seems pretty tall, but nearly all the play has been down the middle and the left side. Only had 2 hit ups so far. Blues well on top with all the possession 10-0 after 15 mins.

For those Magpie fan's, winger Cameron Lawrence (#2) scored 2 tries in NSWCCC' loss to QLD Maroon 28-16. Balmain Tigers player Zayn Sluvinsky-Wilkins (#20) started the game but injured his knee.

William Chen (#14) also took part in NSWCIS' draw with ACT 24-24.

Good to see Western Suburbs Magpies starting early with open invites to any players who wish to take part in their 2018 teams.

Live streaming of the NSWCCC v QSS Open Schoolboys game. No 9 for CCC is Bennett Wheelhouse. No 4 for CCC looks a fine player.

Nice break down the left by our fullback, Ben Stevanovic, for CCC with pace and strength,

I'm curious on these Victorian teams, a junior Victorian side took apart the other "emerging" states (WA, SA, NT) in a comp a few weeks ago, I watched the highlights.

Beating a regional Cubs side would not be a huge deal but it was a fairly hefty win and I wouldn't necessarily expect the Victorians to field junior sides better than regional QLD or NSW teams.

For anyone interested, the No 4 for CCC is Ethan Parry from the Eels. He attends St Gregory's College, Campbelltown but is originally from Group 4 country rl.
