Very disappointing if that is the case. I shake my head ,,not to give the boy at least one chance. But Sheens is a very strange man so I hope if Jake is punted, that he find a spot somewhere and succeeds.

Where did you get this 'word' Willow? There must be something we don't know or otherwise Sheens is incredibly closed minded. Before his injury (in 2009) Mullaney was tearing it up in the Toyota Cup. I have no idea how he's been going since he came back from the hamstring injuries but someone said he was the best player for the NSW Presidents team on Origin night. From my understanding he is a great support player and a very capable goal kicker. These are two areas, seriously lacking in the Tigers team. To me, it is totally ridiculous to not try him. He could have been on the bench instead of Meaney against the Cowboys or even played in place of Moltzen who is leaving the club anyway. The standard comment will be that he is too small but Hodgo was small and I'm sure that 5 ' 9 is bigger than several other current fullbacks or wingers.

That is THE problem . Teflon Tim ..is closed minded or stubborn ..if you like. And if you are not on "his list" ..you are out. I have seen this since 2006. I cant stand him.

Benji kicking has been very good the last ten weeks . I can't see Mullaney cracking it in top grade

I just can't believe he hasn't had a shot this year with our fullback troubles and injuries to our backs. When you have Tim Simona and Sean Meaney playing first grade ahead of you, it's time to pack it in.

That is great B & W if he was in the squad. But with Wests Tigers backs its harder to get out than get in..like the Aussie Cricket Team at times.. With all the potential Jake showed in the U20s and the fact the he can play the Residents Team ( some say big deal ) and score their only try..he must have something..from a supporters view it appears he has been forgotten.

I have seen this kid play and he IS good, but I don't think sheens sees any room for him in the near future, he has brown and ryan who can play fullback, meaney seems to be ahead of him too, and then there is young tedesco coming thru, I can see him making it to NRL level, but probably with another club, we just can't keep them all, I will watch his future with interest even if it is with another club.

I'd like to hear from someone who has seen him this year. Mr Smeghead and Crouching Tiger for example

Is it an attitude thing? Has he not just kicked on from NYC?
