Was that the night Mark O'Neill got kickhit? I was one of the 4000-odd there that night. Last minute decision to go to escape the yawnion my housemate insisted on watching.

EDIT - Sorry Tigers4ever - should have read your post more carefully!

Good size but there wasnt a lot of passion. It was only in the last 15 that things seemed to pick up. A bit of a shame.

Lol, I remember that game your referring to back in '04 Kul. My good memory tells me the crowd was around the 5,000 mark? Clearly remember as it was the same game Mark O'Neill was cheap-shotted by Danny Williams.
With Wests in the finals, ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE

At that moment the lacklustre crowd really rose and from than on sounded like 18,000.

What was looking at being a dismal night on the seats on the hill became one that defined the spirit growing in the club

Yeah I don't think I'll ever see a crowd as angry as Leichhardt that night... I remember Melbourne had scored but nobody was celebrating - then the replay showed why and everything went nuts.

My other memory of that night was Craig Field playing in the reggies for Newtown.

Apart from the Donkeys and possibly the Dogs what other clubs would get 18k to a Monday Night game against an out of town team?
