Chris Lawrences Defence

Post by beachtiger » Fri 08 Jul, 2011 9:44 pm

On a positive note how godd is Lawrence's defence these days!!

I remember a few years back when we were all saying how much of a shirt grabber he was and a liability he was in defence, great in attack but had real defensive problems...Not anymore.

His hit on Moi Moi tonight was awesome and in fact his whole defence game was outstanding, had a couple of poor passes that could have made a difference but on a night when there wasn't much to be happy about this was the thing that I will try to hold onto.

Lawrence would have been good enough to play for NSW on Wednesday night I reckon.

So glad he's back. You're right - his defense has improved out of sight. The only glimmer of hope on a dismal night

Nice typo, but still quite accurate...

It was great to see him back on the field tonight and his defence has been amazing the last couple of years... His improvement has been great and hopefully he can stay injury-free!!!

Should be a lot sharper in a couple of weeks once he's match fit. Solid return tonight though and he did not look hesitant which was good to see.

But he's as good a five-eighth as Laurie Daley remember?

Very good first game back. Defence was solid and refreshing.

That was an enormous hit! And he was overall very strong in his first game back aftert serious injury. But yes, he now needs to work on this passing!! Maybe Lote positions hiimself a little differently?

Glad to see you back Chris.

What an honour it is to have this guy play for us. He is the best centre in NSW without doubt, and im not someone who overates our players.

That was the most dangerous I thought wed looked in a long time last night with him crashing onto the ball. For all the Blake Ayshford praise, this guy really needs to look at Lawrence to see how to run the ball. Ayshford always gets it stop start and it just slows those slick backline plays.

looked pretty good considering how long he was out for. Missed a couple of passes, which was is to be expected, a couple weeks he'll be back to his best

One of the few bright spots on a night when we have played our worst football as the Wests Tigers. Welcome back Chris & good luck.

Check what Sheens said prior to Broncos game last year.

On topic: Lawrence, he is friggin unbelievable. The best player to come out of NRL in last 3-4 years.

Definitely the biggest plus on the night. Chris looked like he hadn't missed any games. Timing was a little but when Lote gets back then lol
