Salary Cap...Average wage..

Post by TrueTiger » Sun 20 Aug, 2017 12:14 pm

I was at the Doctors this morning and the TV was on,they had a segment on a particular sports channel about the Cap...of note I heard them say it will be 9.4 mil and in 3 years could be 10mil...

average wage will be 300k..
minimum wage will be 120k..
players,NRL and Rlp will meet tomorrow apparently...

has anyone else heard anymore regarding the salary cap...

the presenter was saying that this particular deal for the players is a very good one...

please discuss any thoughts or anything else you may of heard ...cheers TT..
You may see me struggle...but you will never see me quit... :D

I think it's a really good deal for the players.

The clubs and NRL have agreed on the figure - its the RLPA that is holding out - apparently they want to nut out are few issues that aren't related to the cap amount - i can only guess its things like insurance and the amount of non related cap money the clubs get.

Reading up on it the RLPA has indicated they are happy with the Cap figure. Issues are around player intellectual property, Insurance etc. The problem is the NRL is not financially sound to meet the demands.

Most of the Sydney based players met this arvo. Never seen so many adults wearing hoodies lol...all of that money and none of them know how to dress themselves.
